why not benz ?..
I'd love to see Benzema play for Juve. But I dout RM plan on selling him in the forseeable future. He's a Perez "galactico" signing, purchased for 40 million euros if I remember correctly. He's blossomed in the past year, and ranks amongst the elite forwards/strikers in the world. If he was being shopped, I would think they'd try and recoup(or make a profit) the fee they paid. I dont think we'd spend upward of 25 million for any player let alone 40+. On the pitch itself, it makes no sense for them to sell Benz. He links up well with his team mates and contributes a lot to their buildup play. Then again, this is RM were talking about. A club known for shipping out players only for them to blow up somewhere else.

Of their 2 strikers, I think theres a better chance they'd sell Higuain than Benzema. They brought him to Europe as a yougster, and could easily sell him for double (triple even, at a push) the ammount they shelled out for him.

Best case scenario would be signing Higuain and recalling Gio to give him assists for fun. Love Jovetic, but he is 2nd best scenario not only because Higuain would score more (though Jojo is improving in that), but getting Jovetic would effectively exclude Gio coming back, not to mention Higuain too ofcourse.

Jovetic would score less than Higuian maybe, but on the other side he'd improve our game a lot more. His technique is way better and I believe he can decide matches much easier.

:agree:

I think Higuain will have a bad day at work when we are sloppy, Jovetic however could make the difference.

Word, against teams who play open against us we score goals, no problem. It's the likes of Siena when you need a moment of magic from one of your players. Jovetic has that, Higuain not so much.

Not gonna argue against signing Jovetic since that would be brilliant (indeed Totti withot being as creative is stye he reminds me most of), and I agree we need more then a goalscorer in our attack, but lets not underestimate the extreme importance of having top striker who finishes with extreme consistency. We havent had that since an injury free Trez. Defenitely would be huge boos.

Benz would be da shit, but I don't see Madrid letting him go, and even if we had a remote chance of signing him, all the big clubs will be queuing up for him, and he won't go for less than 40 Million Euros.

I want both Suarez and Jojo here. Jojo in 2012, and Suarez in 2013, and we are CL contenders.

2012 Summer Mercato: Jojo, recall Gio, and Ramirez from Bologna, and we exponentially increase our quality up front.

    That's why not Benz:)

Agree on Jojo, but i highly doubt that Viola will make that deal with us,unless Jojo himself will push for it.

you both are mixing something up

jovetic is a creative player, when they have bad days, nothing works. he yes has to prove he has that magic, that whilst having a total crap game, he suddenly pulls something out of nowere and scores.

higuain however, is clinical. these guys have a bad day, and suddenly they score.

in the end, both would be equally usefull.

it doesnt matter who we get, as long as he is a big leap in quality up front

    we cant afford cavani

higuain depends on real forcing him out, and epl not pouncing on it

jovetic on what retarded price la viola come up with
Cavani would be nice but yeah it would be a hard one to get. Agree with most, we need a jovetic and higuain. someone to create and make the cake and someone to finish it off by putting on the icing. Eg. Del Piero and Trezeguet in their prime.

But, i think most importantly we need a pure striker who can score 30 goals per season in all comps. we dont have this now and to be successful and make it far in the CL you need that.

The question is whether the club can also afford a player like Jovetic to help assit that striker. If not a creative supportive striker, then what about a player who can link it all from an attacking midfiled or playmaker position? Vucinic, Pepe, Giaccherini, elia, krasic...none are going to provide this.

I know we have Pirlo but it isnt the same as having a Zidane or Kaka type player in the team doing it from the final third. I always refer back to zidane, del piero and inzaghi....that worked unbelievably well. kaka at milan is another...that is what we miss most..that final killer pass and link up play...pielo does it from a deeper position which is fine, but we need someone further up.

So higuain, jovetic plus an AM/PM is what is really needed.

It would be a massive improvement, but we need to take one step at a time.

replacing pepe with a player that has more scoring ability isnt very hard, compensating his workrate to support our playstyle is

replacing matri, with significant improvement in scoring ability, is very expensive on the other hand.

matri getting better quality and quantity of chances, will see him score substantionally more goals.

adding scoring on the right side, will have a simular effect in my opinion.

problem is, that the cards arent shuffled yet. we'll have to wait untill the summer to see what out budged is, how the situation is for our potential targets.

then make the quality purchase for the best price
