either way as long as a Juve player wins it its all good :D

but Buffon already got one award earlier this season, so im hoping Nedved gets this one.
since national coaches will vote i believe that maldini will win it. but he is worth it.

Why is everybody so surprised about Zambrotta being in the list?

I think he should definetly be there. He has had a great season and he was a lot better than many of the other names on that list.

No one can discuss Zambrotta's qualities. I think the surprise is that since the list is made by France Football, and Zambrotta is not that considered outside of Italy, it's a very nice surprise that critics are noticing him.

I think it's mostly opposing fans who don't notice that. Italian fans all know of his qualities, but how popular is he outsidde of Italy? None of the English or Spanish fans that I know, know much about Zambrotta and obviously don't rate him cos they don't know him. It's a pity and I hope that this season it's his consacration on the european stage thanks to the CL and the Euro 2004. He really deserves it.

He is now a full back and yes he has improved in leaps and bounds but its not exactly a glamorous position
If Roberto Carlos did not take freekicks , he would not be popular either as cafu up until winning the wc was not exactly popular either, sure he is appreciated but ppl don't go talking about Cafu, do they?

    :howler:
To be fair I think he has been excellent this season and towards the end of last season, the howler should actually be for Figo cos he has done bugger all for Real madrid
But aint is funny that Trezeguet is there as lets be honest he has not had a good year at all while Zola was brilliant and he is not there

Does Adriano have another name as its impossible to say he is not one of the best 50 players of the year as that would be scandalous
