Not with the level of technology we have in green technology today, no.

That's why R&D is so important.
He's purposefully ignoring R&D on cost-effective green energy... Stuff like KiteGen and other High Altitude wind-power harvesting technologies being looked at today that would provide power at a fraction of the cost that current traditional technologies allow for.

It would be odd if in 20 years we wouldn't use solar and wind for the majority of our energy. Obviously we are going towards a point where it will simply be cheaper. This makes sense as wind and solar are basically abundant.

He forgot to mention those 99 doctors are also consultants for big pharma. :rolleyes2
Absolutely true they used to be. Now with direct-to-patient marketing and changes in physician laws, they're mostly just "Here's the prescription you wanted, now shut up."

Just these past few days, the weather has been varying from -30 degrees celsius, to -2 degrees, then back to -30. It's ridiculous!

scroll down for graph of temps
We had a swing from 18 degrees celsius to -25 celsius in a day and a half. It had severe consequences because the rain that was pouring froze in a couple of hours and created havoc.

Same here, there's ice EVERYWHERE, and usually the city is well equipped to deal with it but it's been happening so quickly and so frequently.

You know it's bad when temperatures in fucking Sweden reach 35C.

Same deal in Belgium btw. I can't even remember the last time it rained. And it's so hot (+30C) all the time. This isn't normal.
And we have barely had a dry season for the last few years. It used to be half the year where rain was seldom, but now the dry season is starting later and ending earlier. It's raining like cray

And here is either raining or it is cloudy everyday, with temperatures around 25C. It feels like Semptember.

Which is a not normal for this region either. I guess we switched weathers. :D

I prefer it over the weather we had last year though, it was over 35C for like a month.

Don't know about you guys, but this is far from the first extreme weather we've had over here. Each year was weirder than the one before.

But this year is incredible in Europe imo. In Belgium it should rain at least weekly. Today there's no grass left because it hasn't rained in almost two months. We're also completely inequipped for this type of drought.
