An interesting topic, that affects all of us, more or less...
I hope Obama really has a plan, he is our best hope...
I don't really think he can do much in this case though.

Roughly said,we are already screwed. :D I think it's a bit late to get out of this because it's not like it just started and also I don't think one man can save us from this financial disaster. If anything,he should save America from not getting to the bottom.

    I want HALF!!

    Sorry to hear that man...

No one would have thought they would ever made such a come back... I just cant seem to see the US riding this one out ...:xfinger:
Oh I missed when you said that.Sorry to hear that Greg. :frown:

    Same goes to you Marko.
Thanks for the sympathy, guys. But I ironically made the decision to lay myself off from a small company that was financially pinched. Fortunately my wife's business is going gangbusters. But yeah, it would be nice to have a decent job contributing to the productive world again. It's just going to be a while. ;)

This is a chart of the US Dollar Index. The price is starting to form a "double top" price pattern, where the price resistance holds and the chart falls off rather quickly. This is looking like the last hurrah for our currency as inflation risk is probably 100% now as money works through the system. So if you have any US dollars, you better be thinking about getting rid of some because this puppy is sick and going down from here on out.

I'm just hoping it is not construed into a race issue, or a religion issue, with the typical moronic neo-cons and racists running around trying to ignite another race war. Things will get pretty bad and Barack Hussein Obama, the black "muslim", will be the poster boy.

Don't have to state the possible outrage by the dumbasses across America.
I don't think and I also hope something like that won't happen.

Hey, those Navy jets could get us out of this depression with the military industrial complex starting another war. Target: Iran. Perhaps if we destroy an innocent nation and a few thousand soldier lives, we could ignite the economy. As Hilary said, never waste a good crisis. But who knows, maybe those jets will be flying over the United States one day, but only with Chinese and North American Union flags painted on the side. :pumpkin:
    Politics are weird.

    Nah,just stay strong. ;)

That US Dollar Index looks crazy.

If you look through history its natural to have depressions and the economy will recover with time. Lets just hope it doesn't end in the same way that it did in 'The Great Depression'!!!

But does he have the funds to implement his plans. Unfotunately for him previous governments have left him with serious defecits to deal with.

    ;)

There are two kinds of people: those who have lost their jobs, and those who are going to. :seven:
    Sad but true.

With all the debts to other nations that currently exist, you better sure as hell be prepared for a war.
I don't really think it will come to that because it will be the end of the world.I think it's gonna stay just as economic crisis but it could take hell of a time to get over it.

Exactly. It's not his fault whatever happens.

Do not underestimate the US of A. To fix this, it is now a national priority, they have been through this before, i think/hope they have learned smth from it.
They ve learned how to survive it, they have to...
There has to be a back up plan, a way to confront it!
If anyone has a chance of ameliorating the situation right now, that has to be Obama, he is not Bush.
The democrats had a good tradition with financial growth, i wonder where are they and what are they doing now? They should be working on smth!
I do not expect a miracle to happen, but you cant imagine how the situation in US reflects in some small countries here in Europe, both directly and indirectly.
( i have first hand exp with Romania and Greece)
Even a false sense of security, a fool s hope there, would help a great deal here.
Fear, panic and uncertainty spread the crisis faster than it should, ppl need to believe in someone! I see no other way out of it...

We haven't learned anything. That's why all the tech and housing bubbles started, that's why even despite the first bailout bill not working we still try to save bankrupt organizations such as AIG, and that's why the stock market continues to slide - because we are doing the wrong things over and over again.

The government has no idea how to solve these problems, so we better not count on them. All they know how to do is say here, take our money you failed businesses and go compete against the businesses that are strong and more efficient than you. That's all the government has done. It's called rewarding bad behavior and it's morally wrong. So no, the government has learned nothing. They're a bunch of imbeciles there.

I'm going to keep my dollars because they might be a collectors item in a few years, once America has ceased to exist.

    I agree.

It's so weird to live in a red country within all these blue countries in the region:lol:

Anyway, I think it was not a very wise decision from me now to leave governmental job here before 5 months to a job in the private sector, but whatever...

Nah,I've been through something like this already. ;)

There's always hope for better tomorrow.
I guess that's one of the rare privilegies of living in ex-Yu. It can't get worse than it is (was) for us so now we can enjoy watching the rest of the world suffering.
    Buahahahaha :seven:
