Can see Max utilising some hybrid where we shift from 3/5 to 4 depending on the situation.

Bremer - Bonucci - Danilo
Cuadrado-‐-------------------------Kostic

Putting down rigid formations on paper doesn't show how the papers move throughout a game.
I don't really like his hybrid formations. They are a hit or miss kind of experiments.

Hopefully he adapts to the hybrid formations that are about to be on display, although it’s starting to seem more and more likely that 3 at the back it’s surely going to be an option we will use many times throughout the season.

Here are Bremers heat maps from the last three seasons in Torino. Playing on the left is nothing new for him. The main adjustment is playing in a back four and with new teammates, although with Kostic signed it does seem like they’ll be playing with a back three a lot anyway. But those are adjustments pretty much anyone can make, it will just take time. Bremer is the last player I’m worried about. The only game he didnt look like a beast was against Madrid where everyone looked exhausted.

He played in the center last year and that’s when he won the prestigious award. So obviously I remain skeptical. And regardless I still think our defense is overall worse than last year.

I remember years of watching Chiellini be the playmaker in our 352 as Serie A sides sat back against us and he was the only person with some space. That still gives me nightmares. So if Bremer is getting the ball that much he better be prepared and being right footed shouldn’t be an excuse.

 I remember that. I wonder if he was ever offended that literally everybody else was getting marked except him

Uncomfortable with the ball on the left, but defensively he is a monster
Well, even Chiellini had that during the early phases in his career (he actually got much better on the ball later in his career imo). Probably never had so much time on the ball at Torino like he'll have over here.

Decent-ish performance, some bad, some good, mostly OK. But I feel more safe with him at the back than with MDL

He's very strong in direct duels, but he'll have to get a lot better and more decisive on the ball as it won't take teams long to start pressing him like they did Chiellini.
