Last season Milito was more decisive than Messi in all competitions and that all what matters. And to be honest, I have no energy to argue anymore, this is how I see it and that's about it. I don't care about a fucking midget destroying Malaga, Deportivo and the likes even if he does it 7 times a week. Where was Messi when it mattered most? And the win over the outstanding Mourinho's Real means absolutely nothing as the season has not ended yet.

Personally, I think big game performance and general consistency are important.

Realistically it's a popularity contest, which is why I could care less about who wins.

I strongly doubt that if a Juve player scored more CL goals than anyone else, scored 34 league goals in a single season, destroyed one of the EPL top 3 clubs by scoring a super hatrick, destroyed the league rival twice, all while scoring ridiculously amazing solo goals that nobody else can do, i strongly doubt that after doing all that you'd be debating if he was a top 3 player just because he had a poor quarter final game in a WC, and a poor couple of games in the semi's.
