Matri, Quagliarella, Rossi, Del Piero and Toni will not be bad at all.
but we need more strikers ! we HAVE TO BUY christiano ronaldo, aguero and tevez, because more strikers means more goals, you know !

it's not like you would get a great young striker every year for 45 m € .... oh wait o_O

thats how the logic works around here :andyandbarcelona:

and people actually call seccos and marottas ideas stupid :sergio:

my point is aguero is not cheap at all and on top of that we don't need him.

looking a few years back i think there was always a young star striker available for even less money (think back a year or two when benzema was clearly less expensive, another few years back it was huntelaar) but yet people think THIS is THE OPPORTUNITY... while its just like always and just like always more of the hyped young strikers that swap clubs for much money fail ... but thats probably too hard to comprehend

So true. Marotta is stupid because he didn't immediately pay Atletico asking price for Aguero not because he is content with having Ziegler at LB, the position we have been horrendous at since Zambrotta.

Man, I don't see a problem with supporting the Italy NT. I mean, I don't do it myself but I don't criticize other people for doing it. It's their life, not mine!
Exactly.
and Juve is an ITALIAN team, it's normal that the majority of Juve fans support Italy. It's weird however to support Juve and HATE the NT. Don't support it, it's fine..but hate it ? it's almost always half Juve anyway.

I don't support the NT but I don't hate it. I have an Italian background so it helps.

Berbatov is a quality player, i think he'd excel here provided we get a decent LW.
If we can pick him up for cheap (relative to Rossi), the money saved could be put towards what we were already willing to spend on a LW. With that amount, we could sign a quality LW.

Only problem is the availability of such players. Di Maria was bitching about his 2m a season salary at RM earlier in the summer, and with Neymar a target for them, perhaps we have a slight chance, but who knows if he would be willing to join us. I can't really think of any1 else. Ribery, Nani, Bale are not poissible, and Hazard will want to raise his profile in the CL.

Everyone has their own reasons for supporting or disliking a team.

Obviously, if you're Italian or have Italian roots, then it's only natural that you support gli Azzurri.

I'm not Italian, but I love Juventus, so I used to support the Italian national team because of this.

After 2006 I don't support gli Azzurri at all, because giving support to them is the same as supporting FIGC. That's something I will never do.

I don't get this though. Barcelona who's obviously much richer than us couldn't sign Rossi, what makes us willing to spend the money even Barcelona wasn't willing to spend?
We don't know what Villareal asked for when Barca came knocking. But I would asume they asked for a bigger amount of money knowing that clubs do that if the buyer is from the same leauge. Imo getting Rossi for 25 mln euro is good deal, if Marotta really pulls that.

We don't need a Berbatov kinda player though. He's too similar to the style of play of Matri and Quag.
He is nothing like those players, imo. Neither has the technique or imagination of Berbatov, and his workrate is much less compared to Quag/Matri, lol.

I'm not saying I want him, but the fact remains he would be much cheaper than Rossi, and if that allows us to target players on the left that are otherwise out of our reach, than I'm all for Berbatov or other similar cheap options upfront. The age issue is being completely overblown considering he was joint top scorer of the prem last season.

Look at Villarreal playing hardball with Marotta :howler:

But it's Rossi and here the rule that we won't pay a penny more than what we think is right won't be implemented. For Rossi we can splash this and the next 5 transfer budgets.
And include Melo in the deal, just for good measure.

I watched all United's game with him starting, I can't say he's creative lol. Has a few Quag-like goals but that's about it. Don't be fooled by his 21 goals. He scored 5 in one match and 2 or so hatricks on low tier teams.

yeah that 2006 squad was glorious. Juve defense and keeper and Del piero scored a goal. Can't ask for more :p. Can't say the same about the current average squad.

I fail at everything. Especially, it seems, at sarcasm.
..ok
