Consider what we paid for Quag and what we are supposedly paying for Rossi? I personally thing Quag Matri and Rossi Matri are almost on equal footing and will get us the same result through an entire season. In no way an attack of Rossi Matri going to get us more an what Quag and Matri would. I'd say top four finish with this team. Fourth probably, with Europa next season. If Rossi meant having money for Nani, I'd be all for the move. But Bastos, Vidal being constants and Rossi instead of Aguero, quite frankly is not a mercato of champions. In fact Bastos, Vidal and Ivanovic/Subotic would get us a better position in the serie a table, than buying a player like Rossi, whose very similar to someone we have, and more importantly someone who excelled in that role. I got nothing against Rossi, the player, but all this talk of him being a marquee signing, is a huge waste of resources.
No debate...Rossi is better than Quag. The real question is, what exactly makes a player World Class? His nationality, his ability to change games, his goals/assists/passing ability/defensive ability (based on position)? If its down to raw numbers?.... Anyway, In my opinion, Rossi, isnt exactly World Class at this stage, but I believe he is just a notch below that and it wont be long before he is regarded as one...32 goals in all competitions in a top league isnt something you can just ignore or downplay no matter how you try to dissect it. There is certainly more hype around Aguero... some would argue because he is Argie, but in truth, he has been simply more productive. Nonetheless, Rossi isn't a bad alternative by any stretch of imagination and is certainly one of the top targets on the market. I would prefer Aguero...also because of his greater commercial value that would reflect in shirt sales etc...but Rossi, if acquired, will prove to be a top signing and i certainly wouldnt lose any sleep
It's really sad we can't get our publicised targets anymore. Everything is a fucking saga with us. From Dzeko to DiNatale to Sanchez to Aguero. Thanks to idiotta we're a fcuking laughing stock around Europe. Can't close a European level deal. And if it wasn't for Krasic holding out last season, we'd look even worse than we do now. And enough with the lack of CL, Non eu talk. We either don't know who we want or we don't understand the value of certain players.
I don't understand why we'll spend close to half our mercato budget on a player similar to someone who can do the job as adequately. When, quite obviously, there are other gaps that need to be plugged and in doing so, would provide better value for money on the pitch than a marquee signing that overlaps with perhaps, the best Juve player in the first half of last season.
It's too easy Marotta, come on, do the right thing. Even Kun wasn't desperately needed but if you can't bring Kun then please stop chasing an attacker. We know you promised a champion but you can deliver a champion for the midfield, it doesn't have to be an attacker.
Go and check the pulse for players like Ivanovic, Ribery, Nani. All the Juve fans will accept those as champions and you will keep your promise. Ribery instead of Pepe will do much more good than Rossi instead of Quag, no matter which one between Ribery and Rossi is the better player.

Messi is world class, Ronaldo is world class, Xavi is world class. Very few players can call themselves world class, Aguero has certainly not earned that right yet, despite his obvious quality.
Aguero does have the potential to be world class though. Rossi isn't even close to ever being world class.
