But Rossi is overrated. He is.

Doesn't make him a bad player and it could still mean that he's a very good player, but he's overrated both by his club (normal thing) and by all those willing to splash 30m eur for him and make him a main signing for Juve.

So he's been doing jack in Villareal? He's one more than a few games on his own for them.

The hate on Rossi is very unfair, yes I would prefer Aguero, but the hate on Rossi is frickin laughable.
Judging from some of the stuff said about him on here, and after watching him quite a bit last season, I agree.

The price thing is not relevant to how good he is IMO, by that I mean that I could give you 10 names in a sec that has been sold to a price not justifying there quality. Villareal want 30m. Imo he is atleast worth 25m if we really do look at his quality, age and how the mercato is going.

    The term overrated is overrated.

Who is Rossi overrated by? The Italians? On what point? If I am not totally mistaking he had 18 goals and 5 assists in La Liga?

FI with another article about how Rossi is a "better value" than Kun.

    http://www.football-italia.net/blogs/rp99.html

Their fapping to this guy just never ends.
    I liked these parts...

"For Italian teams in particular, beyond his nationality presenting an advantage for adapting, compared to Aguero, Tevez and Sanchez"

So being Italian, he's expected to adapt faster than a guy who spent the last 4 years playing in serie A?

"Rossi is the only one with proven credentials in more than one of Europe’s top three Leagues. "

Proven credentials in more than one of Europe's leagues? Seriously? It sounds like he set EPL and serie A on fire and he joined La Liga after playing 3-4 seasons in the other big leagues previously. Half season in Parma and Manchester youth team.

They are doing everything to make it look like a top transfer, better than Aguero's transfer.

P.S: Read this article in full and read Susy Campanale's article to see how exactly people overrate him.

    Juve good enough for Rossi

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]The agent of Italy and Villarreal ace Giuseppe Rossi has refused to rule out the possibility of a switch to Juventus.

Although Federico Pastorello concedes that there has been no offer from the Turin giants, Juve would appeal to the striker.

“Juventus are a top club for their history, for the people who run it and for their future ambitions,” the representative told Tuttosport.

“It’s clear that their present penalises them seeing as they won’t be playing in Europe next season. But their appeal remains intact.

“Let’s say they are like a beautiful woman who just needs to go to the hairdresser…

“It’s a possible avenue and the directors are keeping themselves informed. We are talking about an Italian player who reminds people a little of Alessandro Del Piero.

“Let’s just wait and see how things develop, even if I have to admit that there has been nothing official from Juventus.”

Barcelona were considered as front runners for the former Parma player this summer, but they’ve now switched their attention to Alexis Sanchez of Udinese.

“At the end of the season I was contacted by Barcelona, but then the talks slowed down,” added Pastorello.

“The important thing for Rossi is to go to a top club that would welcome him. If it’s not a top club then he’ll stay at Villarreal.

“Giuseppe wants to evaluate everything carefully, he knows that a decision on where he plays next year is a fundamental one for his career.”

Rossi unfortunately would seem the more likely transfer to me at this point. There's no competition for him and Marotta is dawdling on the Aguero transfer, I'm preparing myself for massive disappointment
