I'm going off of strictly numbers here for Nilmar. Since I haven't really seen him play.

He has been at Villareal for 2 years, and has 21 goals, in a league where the defenses are less than spectacular, and has Rossi as a strike partner.

I know that Vucinic doesn't score a ton of goals, but his skill set is fantastic.

Is Nilmar a similar type of player?

Because if he isn't, then I don't understand the hype about him

Villarreal play entertaining football and Nilmar is ideal because he's comfortable on the ball (), and good for a team that keep the football on the ground. He obviously has issues with scoring though, goes through long droughts at times. He's sort of similar to Vucinic actually, but a different 'style' of play given their difference in physique.

Not paying 30 M on Rossi, which would be a waste of money.

Vucinic will cost around 18 M and is more versatile.
