We badly need a quality CB too.
I think people really hated on Bonucci. I don't think he played that bad to give him the boot. I think he deserves another season to prove his worth. Also, this season he'll have a fullback that's not mentally retarded beside him, and will allow Bonucci to stay in the center rather than getting dragged out to cover Motta.

Agreed. I don't rate Rossi at 30m, but I also don't rate Aguero at 45m. I say Aguero should be closer to 30m, Rossi closer to 20.
I don't think there are too many players in the world who would justify a 45m price tag today. It's an inflated market, but seeing we're on the verge of inaugurating our very own stadium, we need to start doing things we're not used to - becoming marketable and winning back the fans, while having the younger generation follow us before we fall off the map. I don't mean to say Aguero guarantees that, but through jersey sales and merchandise, to me, he pays for himself for the duration of the time he's here, with a good chance he might be sold for a profit in the future, even with FFP coming into the equation. Rossi doesn't have the flair to fill an entire stadium. He doesn't have the charisma for people to want to wear his name and he certainly doesn't have the skill to carry an entire team. The current, perceived 15m difference is a lot more valuable when you compare Aguero to Rossi than when you compare Rossi to Quag.

I like Bonucci too but I just can't see how Bonucci and Chiellini can play together, they are way too similar. Legro-Chiellini worked because Legro was the head(commanding) while Chiellini was the body(tackling, marking, moping everything up).

We need an intelligent CB, someone like Lugano.

Where is Federico Piavaccari, Elvis Abbruscato and Rolando Bianchi now? Surely they'd be making moves to top clubs to bang in 20+ goals.
It would be harder for them to break through to the roster of a top team, but if they do, I think they'd be quicker to adapt than you'd like to give them credit for at this point in time. Where do you think Matri's come from? ;)

I think we need to invest in an SS now seeing as DP retires at the end of the season. IMO it's our biggest priority as long as signing a LW. Yes we do need a CB as well, but I think we are relatively stacked in that position (Chiellini, Bonucci, Barzagli and Sorensen)

If we assume that Iaquinta/Amauri/Toni will also be gone at the end of the season (EDIT hopefully the first two gone before the start of the season), that leaves us with two strikers if we don't sign Rossi.

I'd love Aguero here, but if we sign him I worry that we will buy cheap/shit options for LW and CB. Whereas if we sign Rossi for a cheaper price we can get bettter quality in those other two positions.

And before anyone starts to label me a Rossi fanboy or some other shit like that, I'm not. I'd much rather Aguero here and think he is a superior footballer, but let's be realistic. This club wont spunk 45M (plus his massive wages) on one player.

I have been saying this for a couple years. Well, not an SS but a WC striker anyways...one to replace either Trez or DP was what I felt needed done a couple years ago.

Its definitely true that to become the best in the world again we're going to need those sorts of players but when we were the best in the world it wasn't just for players like Trez and DP. We were well covered in most positions especially our wings. Considering we don't even have a LW at all but have two competent strikers its clear that the absolute number one priority for us is a left wing. I would easily take Hazard over Aguero for example. Buying a 40M euro striker while we don't even have a starting left wing and have a poor starting left back is a concerning move considering our current objective is not yet to become the best in the world but simply to achieve 3rd place. There's no doubt that our team would be much more balanced in the long run if we were able to sign a potential world class left wing which would complement Quag, Matri and Krasic well. Atletico Madrid had an Aguero-Forlan strike partnership and yet they finished 7th. Just goes to show that if you don't have a well balanced team it won't make much difference how classy your strikers are.

What I think the problem is is that Villareal want 30m Juve want to spend 25m and now that Sanchez went to Barca for only 26m but that includes 11.5m in bonuses depending on his season performances and Juve or reluctant to pay 30m when obviously Sanchez is a better player. To be honest though Rossi is starting to piss me off. Obviously he doesnt want to piss of his current team but not once has he publicly said Juve would be great to play with one day or Yes id like to play for Juve in the future. Nothing all hes said is All im thinking about is this upcoming season with Villareal because its an important one. Now this Arsenal bid comes in for this other player and as many people have said I doubt they are going to sell both or it could be a ploy to get Juve bidding higher. Who honestly knows whats going on but I really feel this transfer wont happen. Problem is if this move goes up in smoke that mean Marotta might feel pressured after promising 3 WC players and splurge huge money on either Tevez or Aguero and have no money for another CB or Bastos or Vargas. I almost want to say screw a WC forward and get a WC LW because we really need one. My thoughts anyway.

Agreed, this Rossi deal is eating up to much of the transfer window, We need to start negotiations for a LW asap.
