Give him one season at a team like Juve and then let's decide that. I think all things staying the same, Rossi will not prove to be 15m better than Quag. On and off the pitch. In all honesty, I rather have a Quag Jersey #18 than Rossi #22 on my back :)
I don't know. I can't see the future.

I like Quag of course, and think we don't need Rossi. But I think people are really underrating Rossi.

Stick to the A and B. There's a lot of players and teams that can make the cut if their basics are right. Being a good d or attacker doesn't apply to every lower league per se. I was talking purely comparing the a and b league.
Why stick to A & B? A lower league is a lower league. It is not harder to score goals in Serie B than Serie A. That makes no sense.

Also everyone should consider that stats don't always mean everything. Take Sanchez for example, his goals/assists are quite underwhelming to be purchased for almost 40M euros.

Rossi is more skillful, creative, and faster on the ball.

I said this to someone before, the reason Rossi is not being as welcomed here is because his arrival was contextualised with Aguero's. But if we look at just his game and what he brings, there is little or no value for that 30m. You and I cannot imagine but spending that 30m correctly could be the difference between a 4th place finish and the scudetto IMO.

Perhaps, but I certainly wouldn't pay 30M for a marginally better striker when we already have Quag and need to improve other positions.

Agreed. I don't rate Rossi at 30m, but I also don't rate Aguero at 45m. I say Aguero should be closer to 30m, Rossi closer to 20.

Rossi played mostly in La liga where they give chances to youngsters.

In Serie A, you get co-owned and loaned until you're 23.
why wasent rossi co owned ?

man utd bought him because he had lots of potential and then loaned him to parma
then villareal bought him and he blossomed there

and seriously, rossi has his best years far ahead of him, quag is in them

kinda a big diffrence

Its not harder. That's isn't what I said. I said it was just as hard for an attacker in the b league as in the a league. And the reason I said a and b, is because the level drops disproportionately beyond that.

Would you agree that our greatest needs at the moment would be to sign a quality LW and a CB to fix our defense?

It makes much more sense to invest the money on these positions than on a SS which is marginally better at the moment than what we already have.

So the Serie B top scorers would just come to Serie A and bang in goals of similar quantities?

A big problem with players going from small teams to a big team is the pressure. Its nice to see a prospect play for a big team, because you usually you know they're able to take more pressure and responsibility and not choke.

I do agree with that.

But we know that we won't get a world class winger or defender, so it would be nice to get both Rossi and Bastos.
