But buying a LW, CB or a CM would make more sense and would improve the squad

Rossi is a luxury we don't need to spend 30mil on
I agree with you about the areas which need improving but in my opinion we need a quality striker right now. Sure 30 millions for Rossi would be a bit too much considering we have other flaws in the team but the striker area need to be considered and done something with.

that's indeed something to consider - maybe you'd need a decent 10-15 mil striker, while getting rid of Iaquinta, Amauri, Toni but nothing more than that up-front.
Juve management, however, seems to feel an obligation to give the fans the promised big-money signing and that may well turn out to be a needless move with lots of money spent on the wrong player.
Rossi is a pretty good player in his own right ... my doubts about Juve really needing him mainly come from you guys getting Quagliarella too.
Exactly. We're looking unprofessional in the transfer market.

The funny thing is that us fans do realize our weakest points but our Mang don't. Is it so difficult to check our stats last season? FFS, only Sampdoria conceded more than us at home and almost away. We have conceded more than the likes of Brescia, Chievo and these average/relegation teams.

CB next to Chiellini is more important than a striker.
LM to replace Pepe is much more important than a striker.
etc..

Reason being Berbatov is very creative whilst Rossi is not. We've got a Striker who is similar to Rossi in Quag but have nobody who has the qualities of Berbatov.
That's a good reasoning. But speaking generally, not for Juve, if you had to pick between one of them, who would you chose?

I think our menagemant is considering Rossi as DP's replacement. I think that this is the only reason why they are trying so much to sign him. To be honest, if ti has to be an Italian that will replace DP than Rossi is the best choice..... And yes, i think Rossi will do good in Juventus. The amount of money that Juve is planing to spend on him?......thats only normal when you are getting a WC or very-close-to-a-WC player :D

I hope they mean by DP replacement as in just to someone to fulfill the role that DP plays in the team on the pitch, not sentimentally. If they actually want to have another DP, they can fuck off. DP is a true legend and I doubt the club will ever have a bigger hero and legend than him. I especially don't want that dirty Jersey mouth being DP's replacement.
