:lol::tup:

Seriously are we that desperate for a striker? Okay, I would understand the Aguero deal because most people or majority consider him as super star and with the new stadium things would look almost perfect for the team and Marotta but are we that desperate for a striker that we have to cash almost 30m for Rossi?

With a good replacement for Pepe a WC player to play there and with another solid defender we would look more than okay upfront. Matri-Quag-Del Piero can finish balls. But of course that if you don't have to put them to work for every single ball like Ale was doing last year at the age of 36-37. Buy WC midfielders and have a solid defense and forget about Rossi.
Honestly Rossi is more of a luxury than a necessity, so i agree. The problem with our strike force is the age factor, will they be able to push through without major injuries? I just don't trust the likes of Iaquinta & Toni. Also we really, really, really need a good LB, Ziegler & Pussy Cat Doll simply aren't good enough to hold down a starting spot.

@Nedved

Reason being Berbatov is very creative whilst Rossi is not. We've got a Striker who is similar to Rossi in Quag but have nobody who has the qualities of Berbatov.

:agree:

But we have people in charge that want to be cheap in other areas but blow all our cash on an area we are best equipped in.

Kun makes sense though, as we would have a WC player there for the next 10 years. With Rossi, in two years when we realize we wasted over 22m dollars like we did with Diego/Melo, we will end up buying another expensive replacement after cashing in Rossi for around 12-14m

that's indeed something to consider - maybe you'd need a decent 10-15 mil striker, while getting rid of Iaquinta, Amauri, Toni but nothing more than that up-front.
Juve management, however, seems to feel an obligation to give the fans the promised big-money signing and that may well turn out to be a needless move with lots of money spent on the wrong player.
Rossi is a pretty good player in his own right ... my doubts about Juve really needing him mainly come from you guys getting Quagliarella too.

yes, you do - Amauri :D

True but I still believe he can do very well and get double figures.

If he comes we'll get third place with him in the team.

I'd love Aguero but I'm not going to turn my nose up at Rossi if he comes.

Matri-Quag-Rossi is very solid for three attackers.

Of course but I do not believe we should spend big on a striker....Aguero is a different story, he is a rare transfer..players like him do not get placed on the transfer market often.

If we don't get a decent LW & an adequate LB, i don't see us making a major improvement.

Ziegler & De Ceglie > Grosso

Lichtsteiner > Motta

Pirlo > Aquilani

Vidal is just as good as Melo

Rossi > Quag ( Despite my angry claims otherwise :p )

Bastos/Vargas/Vucinic > Pepe

I can't see if this is our market we've not improve greatly.

For me so far we've improved and if we sign Rossi and Vidal we'll improve further.
We have improved but we are taking a few steps back by selling Melo imo. Why not focus on selling Sissoko, are you content with have Ziegler or PDC as our starting LB?

We have lots of work to do still.

Rossi is a luxury we don't need to spend 30mil on
:agree:

To repeat what a few of you have already said, Aguero is the only player worth spending 30 million+, otherwise concentrate on strengthening the defense, midfield and just as importantly, getting rid of the deadwood
