"I have read and heard everything [about Juventus] but during my holidays I switched off from football and did other things," he said.

"I don't feel like I am leaving and I want to do well with Villarreal."

Lmao sick, we're going to lose out on Aguero and Rossi.

Good think we're getting Silvestre. :sergio:
But are those two really necessary in the grand scheme of things?

I'm probably in the minority here, but I think a tandem of Quag, matri, DP, and Toni will be just fine considering how many fewer matches Juve will be playing this upcoming season. I'd rather take the money and strengthen other areas of the team.

What if Quag or Matri get injured? What if both. I really don't want to see a DP Toni tag team.

If one gets injured Sergio they we're in a mess as proved last year with Quags injury.
I don't think that they are in as big of a mess this time around if only for the fact that matri will be there since the beginning of the season.

If they get themselves a bona fide LW, to go with the 17 CM's that they currently have, and shore up the defense, I think that they will be perfectly fine.

We'll get somebody. They need to realize that we absolutely can't miss out on CL again and since its only 3 teams next year they have to make the squad much, much better.

You are dealing with a lot of variables here.

You are also talking about two players that have no injury history whatsoever. Before he got hurt, Quag never played less than 33 matches in any season the last 5 years.

And Matri does not ahve an injury history at all

If Quag gets injured we're going to be relying on a 37yr (almost) old's legs to keep running.

But is Rossi the guy to take them to that CL spot?

In my opinion, in order to get to the CL spot, they need to shore up the defense and get a bona fide LW.

A striker the likes of Rossi or Aguero, for the price that either one of them will command, can be used on someone of equal or higher quality at a position that is more of a need at the moment

Quag got a very serious injury.

Are you willing to gamble on this?

IMO, if one of them get a long-term injury we are screwed.

Yes, i am willing to gamble on it. His injury was an anomaly, not a regular occurence.

Take the money and spend it on other areas.

I think they should look at Cassano as an option again. He would be inexpensive and we could offer him a more consistent role than Milan.

He is of course not a player to build the team around for the future but with him I think we would have enough depth up front to spend the rest of the money on other areas.
