Top one looks better.

Still don't like Pirlo in a two-man midfield, though.
It seems we'll focus on holding the ball quite longer so it might work... that's when I read Conte's words. Then again, I don't see our players being technically capable of playing like Barcelona, nor they are aggressive enough to take the ball as soon as possible.

But yeah, I'd still take 4-3-3 by all means and play Vidal - Pirlo - Melo/Marchisio but I don't see us doing that.

Come on cowards, I'm yet to see anyone responding properly to that poll in that Barca forum :D
If I was a Barca fan I'd too want Rossi for 25 than Aguero for 40-45. That team already has too many stars and they don't need a game changer. They need someone to complement the team, play only when needed and to accept the bench.

Buffon

Lich - Bonucci/Juan - Chiellini - Ziegler

Krasic - Vidal - Pirlo - Bastos

Matri - Rossi

or

Vidal - Pirlo

Krasic - Matri - Rossi - Vucinic
Why are you including Vidal in both lineups? The majority of Vidal's goals were from PK's. As per the Juventuz bible, verse Rossi, this automatically nullifies every other aspect of his game, and therefore he is overrated.

How the fuck, even for a second, do you think that 2nd formation would ever be possible. And I dont mean signing the players, but playing them like that together.
Folk are still hung up on calling it 4-2-4, instead of it being an attacking 4-4-2, so there is the idea Juve could play with four genuine forwards.

Barca comparisons are just bollocks.

4-4-2 is not, in general, a good shape for ball retention.

Pity.

I wonder why Barca were never after Quag. Weird.

It's just a more offensive 4-4-2 for crying out loud, it is possible.
Its NOT an offensive 4-4-2, its basically 3 forwards and a very attacking winger in Krasic, it aint gonna happen bud, except for desperate sitautions where you chasing for a goal in 2nd halfs.

Oh, and as far as I am aware, Barca are not after Rossi ;)

And they'd prefer Rossi to Quag for the same reason we preferred Martinez from serie A to some equally good (bad) player from...Getafe or Sociedad. When we exclude the star players, the other players are mostly targeted and wanted by teams from the same league.

Barca were never after Rossi but Barca fans, only for fun, start a poll to see who the majority prefers, Rossi or Aguero, the player Messi asked Barca directors to buy :agree:

Ok, let me get this straight...Barca are interested in Rossi, but by some miracle they fail in their attempt to get him and the brilliant Marotta steals Rossi from Barca?

If Barca want Rossi, Barca will get Rossi. If Barca want Rossi, Rossi will not play for Juve and take a smiling picture with Marotta and a Juve jersey.

As for the poll, we have a "Sanchez or Pastore" poll. I guess we started it because we were seriously interested in Pastore and seriously linked to him.

lol just needed to see the url and i knew what they would write about-....
"Rossi more so than Aguero, is the perfect fit for Juventus. First and foremost his desire for Italian football coupled with his appreciation for calcio which saw the Parma youth product decline a place in USA’s world cup 2006 team to await his chance for La Nazionale." "and as Del Piero’s flame flickers in its final foray a new flame is needed for the Turin giants. Rossi is that flame"

haven't read such shit in a while

Barca wanted him, not willing to meet Villareal demands though. It's as simple as that. I hope we don't go that far for Rossi either.

I'm not sure this is true. He was probably one of the many strikers considered by Barca but they gave up so quick which tells me that they didn't want him too much. For Sanchez they entered long negotiations and are still negotiating, willing to go much higher than what they'd have paid for Rossi.
