Looks like 40+2. It will be funny to watch everyone who defends Marotta on this after we spend more than that on Manolas.
So I am in no way a Marotta fan boy, but I would like to know what other choices we had, assuming he wanted to stay in Italy? Force him to stay here, train with Primavera? We would be losing money by the minute, but of course make an example of him. Would it be worth it?

You can only show them a paper where you see how other clubs spend double of what we do on the wages while looking at the profits too, and it becomes obvious we're not at the top yet.
Maybe Juventus can't offer same salary as Bayern Munich, the spanish Giants and EPL clubs, but then you need strong men in the board to show the players when they crossed the line and what they can get away with.

Marotta seems like a competent guy, but not someone who is a strong personality. I dislike Uli a lot, but damn he dont take any bullshit from players when/if they ask to leave (talking about our stars), do i need to say Ribery in 2010? They also told clubs that were interested in Lewandowski to fuck off.

KHR is a very strong personality also but i like him way more than Uli. My point is Bayern would probably have a weak mentality without them. Not saying Juventus as a club is weak, but there is a mentality they need to change.

Thats why I said to Igor that Marotta should be send to Munich for some weeks then Uli and Kalle would learn him a thing or two :p

I get you.

But IMO Marotta would be capable of having those action too if he were in Munich. He has money to back his words and actions. We clearly don't.

Btw I'm not even 'defending' Marotta, I don't think any replacement would do different cause this has more to do with a clubs policy rather than a Marotta or anybody else on that position.

If he really wanted to leave, then we should have said fine - but you can go outside of Italy and we will negotiate on our terms.
but I ONLY want to stay in Italy, my wife dont want to live in another country Well you should have thought about that before you signed the fucking contract, we dont give a fuck! Its not like we would be unreasonable letting him choice between Real, Barca, Man city, Chelsea and who else want him. What the fuck are we now - a fucking charity????

I think we wanted him out and he said fine but I want to stay in italy. Us wanting to get rid of him would force us to accommodate his wish to stay in Italy and sell him for smaller fee than we could have gotten from man city, chelsea, barca etc.

If its him who wants out and we let him go for smaller fee to an Italian club - well then our management is fucking idiots! And the shareholder should want them replaced, because that is just lousy business! Oh yeah you can go to the club you want to, even though they pay less than what we can get from clubs outside Italy GTFO - Shareholder would should go fucking abeshit then!
And dont give me that - we cant get more than 40 mill for him - fucking Rudiger was sold for the same amount!! You dont think Conte would pay 10-20 extra and get a top 3 defender?

Everyone knows the answer to this, but obviously it's extremely frustrating.

Assuming we forced him out, fine, this definitely is fucked up. But if he refused going outside Italy, you suggest it'd be better to keep him?

Exactly. The only other option was to play him like nothing happened and continue with not the best atmosphere in the locker room. Who knows if Allegri would stay in such situation.

Yes, force him to respect the contract he has, which he signed only a year ago. We've never had any problems with Bonucci on the field, he always gave 100%. We don't even know what really happened during the final. It's all speculation based on the fact that we were shit in the second half. Maybe nothing happened, maybe we were just shit.

And then Bonucci rejects all abroad offers dragging this transfer til the end of mercato.

Not only Allegri, but the whole squad. Imagine players wanting out, because of bad atmosphere. Not even considering this sooner or later would have affected our success.

Why would we sell him so suddenly to Milan then? You are right, we know nothing. But there definitely are more indicators pointing towards trouble with him. In retrospect, it looks as if it was the club that tried to sell him over the previous months (all that man city and chelsea rumors). But in the end he refused the offers.

It was just another Vidal-esque sale. Nothing more.

Club wanted to get rid of him for whatever reasons, Bonucci wont be able to say no in a situation like this, they saw a market opportunity and sold him for a moderate fee because the player wanted to remain in Italy for family reasons. No matter what the pro Juventus media try to push their agenda, the truth will be somewhere close to this.

Then he stays here, making what he makes now instead of double that and respects the coach and his decisions.
He would moan and players would hate him & hate to play with him. There's no way it'd be healthy to see them fighting as team mates.

Imagine had we kept Alves who was posting shit on twitter. There's no way that's a good thing because that's shit attitude that clubs can't fix.

This is really getting overblown. I've seen a much worse problems that were resolved and everybody went to work.

well its certainly better than embarrassing ourselves in the market

I fail to see the correlation between selling one of the best defenders in the world to a rival club for a stupidly low price and 'market opportunity'

So your suggestion is if a player wants to leave or causes trouble, sell him at any price. Let's assume things were very bad at half-time and we decided to get rid of him and he decided to leave. What if Milan only offered 20M? What do you suggest then?
