first off, my reply was towards turk_bianconero, you know that is why i quoted him, but in your feeble attempt to basically pick fights with everyone here you simply overstepped the boundaries of your limited brain capacity and fail to grasp the trains of thoughts of the ones you reply to in your very generic "me vs everyone else"-way.

i blasted turk_bianconero for being a whiny bitch about how the deal with higuain got constructed even though we do not even know how this deal will eventually turn out to be closed. furthermore i critizised that he dares to critizise a professional that has negotiated quite a few player transfers without turk_bianconero probably not even ever having negotiated for something of worth other then a pair of fake levi's trousers on a turkish bazar.

the only thing we know is how high the release clause is. we do not know if we will pay the release clause in one payment, two payments, or money plus players.

because it is not negotiated yet. If we only pay cash (the release clause that is) in one installment, then you would be right that this is not an negotiation, even though you could say that the wage of higuain was still to be negotiated. If there will be players included in the deal then there IS a negotiation for the value those players would have inside of the payment for higuain. the probability for ADL to actually want to have players included in the deal seems to be high, because he might fear being milked by other clubs if they know that ADL received 90 m € for higuain.

Based on this assumption and the fact that we threaten to take higuain even if we need to pay the full clause may lead ADL to resume his former interest in perreyra and try to include him with the lowest possible valuation inside of the higuain payment. this will be indeed something that will be negotiated and in this case your assumption of "there is no negotiation to be done" is false.

in either case neither your rambling about "there is no negotiation" nor turks "morronta can't negotiate when his life depends on it" are balid points and are both premature, because you basically act as if anything of the deal was already set in stone which is false.

if the deal was already done one of the clubs would have announced it. another indicator for why there will probably be a negotiation is, that there is no announcement yet. if marotta said "we pay the 90m € for higuain" then ADL had no choice to sign the papers and the deal would be done and announced, but since it takes a lot longer one might speculate that is because there will be players included in the deal and we know that there will be additional time needed to negotiate the players value and the players contract with napoli to complete the deal.

We are yet to see if and when we are losing Pogba. So lets stop pretending we know when he leaves.

Martial is a player that was performing for Monaco in the CL at the age of 19 and was a starter there. United will get some 12 years out of him easily or sell him for similar amount they bought him for. That was also with bonuses which ensures them that he was worth it if he meets them. Same with Sanches (who was 65M btw). Higuain is worth around 60M, same money Cavani went for to PSG (and he was 3 years younger than Higuain is now). Thats the maximum id go for him, if they refuse i would simply not buy him

And at 60 million for a guy who just scored 36 goals in 35 games and broke the all-time Serie A record. A guy who is a 20+ goal guarantee for his entire career once he hit twenty years of age.

He's far better than Cavani at this point, and prices have jumped significantly since Cavani went to PSG 3 years ago. 75-80M is his worth, easy.

Higuain was massively better than both this past season. Will that trend continue? Who the heck knows, but it doesn't change the fact he was the better CF last year by a country mile.

Higuain has outperformed Cavani and Benzema multiple seasons throughout their respective careers. And Higuain at Napoli has been better than Cavani at PSG, 2 of the 3 seasons. Is Cavani being misused at PSG? Yes. Doesn't change the fact Higuain has been better in 2 of 3 seasons. And clearly better, not just a little.

Benzema is a different case. He's never been that very clear step above Higuain aside from in the CL. He's also far more of a turd than Higuain could ever be. Hence the reason France left him home.

But we're more in need of a goalscoring CF to play alongside Dybala anyways. And higuain has always been a better goalscorer.



I say inflation has almost doubled because transfer prices in football have close to doubled. If Pogba goes for around 130M, that's nearly double the world record fee of 70M for Zidane. Not to mention our revenue has more than doubled in that time, and i'd be willing to bet average transfer fees for players in the big clubs have possibly even tripled.

Higuain isn't worth 75-80M in the market of the last 2-3 years, where 100M for Bale and Neymar was the record, Suarez 85M (after his 3rd biting incident), Cavani for 63M... etc. but that's about to take a huge spike with Pogba potentially being sold for 130M. And all the huge fees going for youngsters of late. With the skyrocketing costs of unproven potential and average players, it was only a matter of time before world class players started seeing their prices spike massively, after the settling out of transfer fees at the very top end of the scale, post-Cristiano Ronaldo being sold.

We're about to see it now. Players like Pogba and Griezzman and so on, will be worth 125M and more now. Which makes 75-80 for Higuain not ridiculous at all. It makes it correct.

As I have said. We're overpaying by 15M or so. Which sucks, but I'm perfectly fine with it. If we keep Pogba, I'll think it an amazing move.

I think one of the good parts of finding deals like we do more frequently than pretty much any other big club in Europe, is that eventually it gives us the ability to pull some ridiculous signing off where we just pay whatever is necessary to get the player.

We spent very wisely for 5 straight years. Players like Pirlo, Pogba, Llorente, Khedira, Evra, Alves for free... Barza, Tevez, Licht, etc for peanuts... Smart loan deals for guys like Cuadrado, Benatia, etc. The Morata deal which made us a lot of money, when you look at the results he helped us achieve, plus the 10M extra from the buyback.

So now we start to see world class potential signings in Sandro, Dybala, Pjaca... a low buyout clause taken advantage of with Pjanic.... and now the potential to go all in on that one big signing with Higuain.

This isn't going to be the case of us overpaying massively all the time for players, I'd say it's a one-off, that we won't see for another few years. It's not like a Madrid, Barca, ManU, ManCity, PSG that do this every summer, at least once. It's smart investments and spending paying off.
