In Allegri We Trust

last season:

Parma Juve 1-0
Torino Juve 2-1
Genoa Juve 1-0
Verona Juve 2-2
Juve Cagliari 1-1
Cesena Juve 2-2
Udinese Juve 0-0
Sassuolo Juve 1-1

should i even mention the ugly struggle wins we got through individual performances in the last minutes like Pirlo vs Torino, Pogba vs Sass or Morata vs Palermo. yeah, the struggles vs low-mid table sides are clearly something new we havent seen before, and its all Marottas fault

Pirlo saved our ass quite a few times with his free kicks as well.

Sure, those results tell the whole story about how we were struggling being at the top of the table all season long. :howler:

Yeah. Because all those happened in the first 12 weeks of the season. Don't be ridiculous here. We have 18 points from 12 matches. It's not even comparable to last season. We've already lost to Udinese and Sassuolo, and drawn Chievo and Frosinone. 3 of those matches were at home.

This season is a catastrophe compared to last season, so making comparisons is absolutely foolish. Especially considering we were pretty much never outplayed last season, whereas we've deserved to lose half our games this season.

and we still have excellent chances to win the scudetto and are actually doing better than last season in a tougher group in CL, so i dont know what youre butthurt about exactly
We had 6 points in the CL after 4 rounds last year, and were in 2nd place in our group. This year we have 8 points and are 2nd place in our group. We're doing better only because Sevilla is having a stinker of a group stage.

Mathematically it's still possible, points are up for grab but can we really do it playing the way we are? We could argue in those previous 4 seasons we had many matches where we lacked the clinical approach but apart from the Madrid/Galatasaray matches I don't remember our defence constantly leaking like Totti's asshole like it is this season. I don't remember us lacking an identity, determination bar a few matches. Hell, I don't remember us not being sure what formation or what players to play this far into the season.

And btw we only played 2 good matches this CL. We played 2 good matches against Malmo last season. Sure it's a tougher group but won't mean much if we can't go much further. We'll see.

We've also played home games against 3 of the bottom 7 teams in the table, and picked up 2 points of a possible 9. If you think Roma and Napoli are going to drop 7 points in home games against Serie A relegation strugglers... you're crazy. We also lost matches against our competitors already in which we were thoroughly outplayed.

you two sound ridiculous because after every victory (havent seen your posts today but im guessing they arent different from CK) you moan about pretty much everything, from the mercato to what shoes is Allegri wearing. we had a bad start yes, it can happen, especially in a season where we have 10 new players, 3-4 of which are starters, a season where we havent had a full squad for a single day so far due to injuries, our key players out of form or injured, and a season in which, even if we dont play bad we concede from 1 shot. its easy to bash everything in such a situation when things go bad, but what will you say around January if we are within reach to the 1st place, won our group and had a run of 5-6 wins? will you guys do the same as last season, when Allegri was at fault for everything the first few months until suddenly everyone changed their opinion and started supporting him? now hes attacked again, 12 games into the season after a CL final. im looking forward at how ridiculous you guys will look once again actually.

i stand by what i said, the scudetto race is far from over, we can win it. a bad start only means we wont win it by 20-30 pts like usual, thats all. in the CL, we are better, wheather you accept it or not. the group is stronger, we have more points and will qualify the next round. we have even great chances for 1st place. so, bad start, CL is OK, and we are still in the scudetto race. unless we fall 15 pts behind Inter or Roma, i see no reason to bitch about every single decision Allegri/Marotta make

I didn't attack Allegri at all last season. Nor Marotta. I actually defended the purchase of Morata with a buyback. And Evra, and Pereyra. I said I'd withhold judgment on Allegri when we hired him.

I'm sorry, this offseason was handled with complete incompetence. It's not even really debatable. And Allegri's incessant tinkering and inability to make up his mind is causing massive problems this season. We have 18 points in 12 games. We suck right now. We look appalling each and every game.

Am I hopeful things will turn around? Certainly. But as of right now, I'm pretty pessimistic, as regardless of the occasional win we pretty much look like crap every single outing.

And contrary to what you Marotta worshippers believe, we will be overjoyed to be proven wrong and have Juventus win the scudetto again and do well in CL. You can say "I told you so" all you want if that happens, and I'll take it with a smile.

I hope you're equally willing to come in here and take the lumps for your own nonsense if this season continues to be a disaster.

So we need an extra 6 points behind Inter before we are allowed to bitch? Why can't we bitch on 9?

i meant in general, people that bitch about everything, regardless if we win or not. i know you defended all that last summer/season...

well see how the season goes but im pretty confident in this team. ofcourse you hope youre wrong, you wouldn't be a Juve fan if you hope for the team to fail, but showing some trust in the coach and players occasionally instead of looking at everything the negative way wouldn't hurt

because 15 pts behind inter at 12 games played would be much worse than 9...

Because pessimism is the new optimism this season... Like the changing of fashions. Get with the times bro.
