The problems are the same. He simply hasn't upped his game over these seasons. If anything he regressed in the last seasons by repeating the formula of opportunities while the team was growing at a healthy rate. Truly big teams, or at least big team mindsets work with a plan. We didn't have any after selling Vidal, and you can see the utter confusion in the personnel on this team, being adapted to be fit into everry tinkered line up. And if any one in their right mind thought Allegri was OK sacrificing Vidal for Hernanes, they're deluded.

Of course, he is proven at taking mediocre teams and making them better. Maybe that is what he trying to do to us, but first had to bring the standard down.

It's those two names that stand out, but over the course of the tenure, you'll notice it's always or largely been about opportunities. Tevez and Morata included. There's always a flip side to moving like that in the market. The Tevez saga, and we don't even know if Morata is going to be here next season. Really we could argue that those two bought us a couple of years to loan at the top, and give us time to increase our turnover, at which time we'd up the ante on more permanent targets, but that will never happen when you sell your only other world class players and fail in your other plan A targets and end up with Hernanes. Every year. RvP, Ageuro, Pastore, Sanchez, Draxler etc. etc. We honestly will never grow into the so called projected Juventus if we build a team the way we do, on the foundation of variables that come with 'market opportunities.'

Do you think Marrotta would have the balls to sell Vidal if Conte was here? Would Agnelli have the balls to hire Ancellotti? Nope they wouldn't. They'd always want the potential, so that they don't lose control of the project. Allegri is being treated exactly the same way he was at Milan, and his ability to be a tactician would never be optimised because his first objective this term is to reintegrate a team, that he perhaps didn't want at his disposal in the first place. He's neither a man manager nor a magician. This one is squarely on the management, because I seriously doubt we would've had this kind of mercato under the likes of Ancellotti, Conte and even Mancini for that matter.

Marotta with two moves in January can change a relegation struggler to a CL champion. BAM, the great man delivers.

There really isn't a set formation that the team can play 3-5-2 is all we have unless Pereyra starts and we play a 4-3-1-2 which would be our best chance of getting some consistency.

There's a difference between terrible and random, I agree, but each have their own level of detrimental effects on where we are today. This team was not planned from the way I see it. And I think Allegri feels the same way. It's another thing, that he's as much to blame for being spineless and being treated the way he was at Milan.

Hernanes? Allegri was dying to get him, he was against Draxler, Götze, Isco, Oscar and all the others that Marotta was easily going to buy with the 65 M€ he could have gotten from Vidal. But since Allegri insisted on Hernanes and Marotta being a humble man, he decided to go easy on Bayern and sold them Vidal on a discount.
