I think each have their own place in their style of doing things. We could argue that we've had the rub of the green in Conte's first season here, because a lot of Marrotta's signings were questioned by a lot of people here as well, including Pirlo on a free. It would be unfair to say that Sabatini doesn't have an equally hard job to do in proportion.
Also, Marrotta definitely has a more provincial mentality, while Sabatini tends to be a little more decisive with his dealings. Not saying if that's good or bad, but just an observation about their way of working since they took over their clubs. I admired the work Sabatini did at Palermo, while Beppe's work at Samp comparatively got him hired the season they finished fourth. All this said, it's more apples to oranges comparisons right now because they're working within different set ups, with different budget markers and most importantly, different environments historically. This however, doesn't mean Sabatini wouldn't be able to do an equally good job if he was at Juve because it definitely increases your access in a more powerful way (7th place finishes or not) than it would, serving time at a smaller club.

Ok, so with all those player acquisitions for the last 4 years since he has been there, they have finished no higher than 2nd, have gotten nowhere in regards to trophies, but yet somehow he is supposed to be on par with Marotta, who had to set fire to most of the squad when he first came here and undergo a difficult rebuilding project. All the while being the CEO of Juventus as well as its Sporting Director. And that ownership group for Roma has a good amount of money.

Honestly we could only compare the two if they had similar projects they were in charge of. Roma and Lazio perhaps. Or a Juve and a full strength Meelan. This comparison right now is not fair to either of the two, but don't think we should take away the fa that Sabatini is building s decent team in Rome. He's not as shrewd as Beppe, but like I said that's also because he's less provincial in his dealings.

Honda, is by far and away the best racingbike manufactor, had the engine of the most competitive F1 car for a full season (mp4/4), supplies engines for various racing all over the world (CART, etc), has the best engine reliability record in the world (before, toyota), and is simply unbeatable in getting performance from exactly the same engine configuration (#cilinders, cc) compared to other manufactors. Hence, Vtec keeps up with turbo charged cars.

I guess the only fair way to judge them would be if Sabatini were given a position where his goal was to win Scudetti, have good Champions League runs, and maintain a profit.
Until that position comes open for him, then I guess it is an unfair comparison. That is, assuming that those are NOT his objectives at Roma. But from the way you hear them run their mouths on a frequent basis, you would think that it is.

Anyway, another bad sign for them: his father is retarded (he publicly complained about Gerson being benched by Ronaldinho lol, when Gerson was playing like shit and is a nobody); they already made a ton of money in the operation, already millionaires; the kid took a picture the other day looking like a complete thug arrogant little prick.

When a club wants to be dealt with dignity and treated as a big club, it does not sign players on a buyback clause. It is a matter of principle. I will drop this, and I wont talk about it anymore, but in 2-3 season, I am going to mention and once we cant retain Morata nor Pogba, I will ask you about how big this club is.
