Except it really isn't the case. You've criticized Marotta plenty of times, but I wouldn't qualify you as his hater. Bit melodramatic, definitely :p. There's a diffence between posts where fans express genuine concern because one of our most important players was sold and those that troll in this thread. Like the guy bellow
Thank you for proving my point, you choose what you want to read.

No, not at all. But I look at the players we bring in and sell rather than the fees. Whether we could have sold Vidal for 50 instead of 40 is something I know nothing about. I do know that we lose one of our best players.
I'd have agreed with you if we were on a Barca, Real, City or United forum, but transfer fees are actually very important for us, in the aspect of getting the top talent out there, especially when we see Beppe bidding 15M for Draxler.

I'm not saying that they aren't important, just that I don't know much about them.

Thing is these battles tend to get too personal for some people here. We should all view this a little more objectively, and as far as your battle with Jack goes, I can tell you I've known him from a long time, and I think his sarcasm and straight talk is being misinterpreted. Let's all give the situation a few days to play itself out before judging which side of the fence we are on as far as the future of a top/potentially game changing AM goes.

I think there's a difference between criticism and hate. From whatever I have seen of those talking against Marotta, you can tell that they are talking about an aspect of his approach/ability to one specific portion of his job, be it underselling or being unable to close an important player. That doesn't qualify as hate. He, just like the players he signs is not above criticism and there's nothing wrong with that. Coz I can guarantee you, most of the people criticising him would praise him when it's due.

::D
Exactly.I will always praise him like I did after his master deals ,but it's just not acceptable whenever you just criticize him for a bad move that he does, immediately you are a hater ,you don't have right to criticize Beppe-The God himself and the usuall things. If he do a good deal I will always praise him for that and will always criticize for a bad move.Never hate the guy.No one is untouchable for critics. When we can criticize Gigi,Pavel ,Claudio and the rest of our legends after a bad display why we shouldn't say a criticizing word about Beppe. That's far from hate.

I have no idea. I haven never really paid much attention to Astori
Getting Asamoah & Caceres fit and ready to play from the get go will be like two new signings IMO. Caceres can play in two roles (RB & CB) and it seems like Juve is considering the idea of keeping Isla? Getting Caceres fit would hopefully get Isla sold and more money we can reinforce the position we all want.

Don't want to sound like a broken record (or a dick sucking Marotta fanboy) but having Asamoah FIT and back into the CM roles along with his compatriots Marchisio, Khedira, Pogba, and Stuaro we still have a massively talented midfield without Vidal (still the best in Italy, easily). We desperately need an AM and last season we rarely used Vidal anywhere but that position, strangely. We fared quite well without Vidal in his best position. From the clubs perspective, I wonder if that's how they saw that?

Most of our moves make sense. Including the players we are trying to sell. The only one people seem to have a problem with is the Vidal sale. I'm tired of trying to indicate the reasons why the club might have done it, but at the end of the day maybe we thought we didn't need him because playing Vidal at an AM is not something that suited either the club or player. Khedira & Asamoah back from injury are very well reinforcing the CM positions. So, the ONLY thing that seems to make sense is we wanted that money for a pure AM. Whether or not we get a quality one is another story, however.

Vidal could have asked the club to move back to his natural role and perhaps we had a different idea in mind which saw him exit the door.

I think if we don't get an AM we might be seeing a 433 this season.

:numnum:

The storm is in the Vidal thread.

Draxler's thread is calling for overcast today with a chance of Badass rolling through the evening.

If you plan on taking the kids to the beach in Summer mercato, bring your riot gear.

so many people complaining about tevez and PIRLO leaving...
tevez wanted out. and pirlo? really? during the season everyone,
bar a few, wanted him out anyways, and rightly so.
he was no longer able to be a key figure in our team.
the time was right to leave. no matter how great he
was for us - i am glad he saw it himself and left.

The bolded parts:
- I fear we lost our targets in draxler and gotze. This could be clearly MArotta´s responsability. IN the gotze case, he was not convinced of coming...and in the Draxler´s, most likely we lowballed like never before.... so well, thats on MArotta´s part.

-About the 433...... i would like to see it being implemented... but i get the sense that Allegri is SO adamant of using an AM, that i would really, really get surprised if he adopts the 433 as his main formation.

I know he said that the team needs a shift without tevez and Pirlo... but ill believe that when i see it.
He is an adaptative coach, unlike you know who...so we will have to wait and see.

three points to make here:

1.) I wonder if we might try Coman in the AM slot and see if he can pull the strings from there.

2.) Maybe we don't want to spend so much on an AM this season when we have Berardi probably coming back for much less.

3.) Coman & Pereyra to get us through the season. Even Dybala there?

Just throwing out ideas folks, take it easy :D
