He had a rough first half, I think we can all agree on. But towards the end he was getting damn close to his best. The change in performance was significant.

Injury plagued is usually reserved for those who are consistently injured year in, year out.

The number of matches he played the previous three seasons before last year

Almost as silly as your theory that he flew to Germany just to sell a player :D

They are smart enough to know that you are consistantly good by buyin a lot of good players and making sure some of them turn out rather than 2 players and depending on them. Thats what Real,Barca,Bayern,Chelsea etc do. actually even Palermo,Udinese and such clubs do this as well its not all about having the most its just being consistant at what you want and trying to improve. Imagine if we lost Tevez and Pirlo and had to replace them with little money and Vidal was 30 and on the decline as was our defense and Buffon and Llorente. We couldnt recoup the next time so we had to sacrifice this time to make sure we can compete for a while.

People would have been happier with a big move for say Gotze this season without losing anyone and being dependent on lots of cl money to stay on par with that quality

People underestimate the signings we've made.

Mandzukic has scored 68 goals-14 assists in 130 matches over the last 3 years.

Tevez scored 67 goals-24 assists in 142 matches over the last 3 years.

Mandzukic for under 20 mil is a great signing, and a superb replacement for the goals Tevez scored for us. Dybala is superb replacement for the assists.

Our forward group is far superior to what it was last year. It's not even close. Especially with Morata being a year more experienced and hopefully no injury to start this season. Add another year onto Coman as well.

Mandzukic, Morata(at 23), Dybala, Zaza is so much better than Tevez, Llorente, Morata(at 22), Matri.

Most of the people complaining about our mercato were also one's wishing Pirlo to leave Juve so I won't even mention him as a loss. Our starting XI is not in the slightest weaker with Marchisio or Khedira playing CDM instead of Pirlo. It's likely much stronger.

VIdal is the loss that hurts our team. Our midfield 3 will be slightly weaker this year, although another year of development and maturity for Pogba should negate some of that. Khedira is an excellent player. Pereyra will have another year under his belt, and just lacks end-product really. Sturaro will actually have a preseason to get involved and into the team. We'll have a very very strong set of 5 midfielders, without even counting Asamoah.

If we actually do sign a good CAM, not even world class, but good, we'll be a stronger team than last year.

Far superior when we are yet to see some of them play..Yeah, no.

But anyways...

With a new CAM, our team dynamic will completely change..
This exciting transition is what I'm most looking forward to.
Whether it will yield the desired results is another question. But it's about time we built a team that caters to Europe and achieving the desired results.

Why dont you tell us again how Dortmund is bigger club than Juve

Or that Lahm is the greatest FB ever
The Dortmund that won 2 Bundesligas and went to the Champions Leage final was a much better team than we were back then. The tables have turned and I'm happy about that.

And Lahm is a pretty amazing fullback, I don't see what you're trying to say here. He's probably the greatest of his generation. You can't really compare him to players from back in the day as the sport changes over time.

There is difference between better team at given moment (which they were) and bigger club or as big/important as Juve (what you claimed ).

Lahm is most definitely great FB, but not the best one that has ever played the game. Dont go back on your words now.

I think you understand I mean in terms of individual players, our forward group is much better. How they play together is an entirely different story. They could have horrible chemistry, or we could have one of the best groups of forwards in all of Europe. It's pretty much an unknown. But this is the most talented group of forwards Juventus has seen in a very long time. That's all I meant.

I'm excited to see this transition.

You need to understand the difference between an opinion and a fact.

Btw, is Ajax a bigger club than Chelsea?

And we are running the risk of actually not finding a good AM to be signed right now. The opportunity might no be there. And if it happens, the Vidal deal becomes really bad.
This is my biggest worry as well. I think it's safe to say there's no opportunity right now. You have to overpay for any AM because none wants to leave.

Why don't you tell us again how getting Tevez would be a waste of money and that you'd rather have Giovinco upfront paired with Vucinic or Matri?

At least ALC wasn't that far off with Lahm, who is pretty amazing and much better than what we have.

@X, if you are going to insist on banning Cronios from threads because he's a troll, then you need to be consistent and ban this guy as well.
