No idea. He'll still be young enough for the Primavera, but he looks like he needs a bit of a kick up the ass, maybe Serie B for him?

We have had so many players comes through with big youth reputations: Chiumiento, Volpato, Palladino, Pasquato, Ariaudo, Giandonato, Daud etc, I just hope for the best now.

I'd say the more recent ones who have stepped into professional football (Mattiello, Marrone, Rossi, Pinsoglio, Immobile, Schiavone, Giannetti, Büchel, Chibsah, Lanini) do look like a better bunch than what we had in the 5-10 years before, obvious exceptions being Marchisio and Giovinco.

So basically we have one youth player who actually became a starter?

Basically. And it becomes even harder for them to break through with our rise in quality. The major plus side is that they are more inclined to stick around and build a dynasty of sorts.

I guess with a club our size you can't really expect more than 1. I'd still like it if we could regularly have at least one youth product in our starting 11.

Marotta is like that father with a sexy daughter. Everyone comes to the house to ask for his permission to take his daughter on a date. No one is good enough.

Pogba is that girl. Hands off.

So, plenty of time left on that ol' mercato clock Beppster. Wat do?

I know you aren't done yet.

Beppe has successfully completed the project grinta and dacdical flow.
He's onto achieving much bigger objectives now. It's called the project flair and fancy. It's still in its infancy but it could turn out to be something huge in a couple of yrs time.
The groundwork has already been laid upon. Can't wait to see the project flair and fancy become a roaring success in a few yrs time. And with very reasonable investment :beppe:

Want to thank this man again for everything he has done so far.

Rejuvenating our offensive line, adding more pace and skill with young Dybala and someone to harass opponents defense in form of Mandžukić looks like terrific piece of business, again; Zaza is another in the long line of underrated players, but he'll be important cog in the wheel during the season. Morata has shown his world class potential last year, player excelling in the most important games (unlike Higuain for instance @Hist), genuine difference maker.

(Zaza) Morata--Dybala (Mario)

Juve arguably can boast of having the best midfield in the world. Looking at its possible line up for the next season is mouthwatering:

------Marchisio
Khedira----- Pogba
--------Vidal

This is iron clad, nothing is gonna go through these mofos. Pereyra on the bench as an impact player, light on the feet, good dribbler, to cause havoc when called upon; Sturraro to provide more grinta when the game needs to be closed down.

Evra--Chiellini--Bonucci--Licht

------------Buffon-----------

Asamoah, Rugani, Coman, Neto, etc...

I used to not hate him but I admit I was annoyed by the extreme overrating of his work by fanbois.
Last season killed me though.Infact it silenced many people not just me.
Thing is balance. When Marotta got alot of flack, the need comes to oversize on the good things he did to balance it out.
But his management is really snowballing now. I mean seriously, we are quickly becomming the best managed club in europe, if not allready

- - - Updated - - -

In his first year all Marotta's good work was overshadowed by a failing manager, a collapse no one saw comming of amauri, and the worst offensive injury crisis in recent history. Not to mention we were where milan is today. Unrespected by players outside italy. milked by clubs and player in italy cause we were a fallen corrupt giant.

Marotta has some sorth of trauma from that year. He needs that 5th striker. He cant care less wether its bendtner. If he doesnt have 5 strikers, he'll loan one at the final minute of the mercato. People wrongly think its desperation calling. Its not, it was Marotta waiting for an economical opportunity on the market, but covering the team with some loan if it didnt came.
His biggest regret will be having to overspend on Amauri and Toni cause everyone knew all our strikers were injured. The money he had to put on Quagliarella and Vucinic, cause we were THAT unrespected in italy.

Yet he kept building the team. On a tight budget he imposed on himself.

The thing snowballed, as we never had to sell players. we became self sufficient where as Napoli and Roma did not, and Milan and Inter can wonder how to fucking do it. Italy is a graveyard of projects and good intentions, because its so freaking hard to pull it off. Marotta however, nailed it down each and every year.

Today we have a squad that was a penalty away from a motherfucking trebble, on a 300mil turnover team, without having to sell players that were borrowed time (overspending on players you'll later sell to balance, knowing this from start).

Today, we are the shining example in italy. Every player wants to come here, and we are the antihero for every "competitive" (lol) team. Despite the low profile on serie a, we have no problem getting players abroad without having to overpay.

Today, we have the best youth in italy, some of the best in the world even, we have a hugely competitive squad that can spend 30mil twice if it wanted, and we closed our mercato.

On July 2nd. Let that sink in for a moment.
