There was some members in here who repeating that mantra up until March FFS

FFS, how anyone questioned this guy after our very first scudetto is beyond me... Seriously.

Between winter and summer mercatos 2011, he signed Pirlo, Vidal, Barzagli, Lichtsteiner, Vucinic, Matri, Padoin, Giaccherini, Cacares... 4 of these players have been starters for all 4 scudetti. Vucinic and Matri were starters for the first 2 scudetti... Padoin, Giacch and Cacares were all integral bench players...

That's half a squad in a single season of transfers. Ridiculous.

How the heck could anyone question this?

ANd to prefer Sabatini!?!?

Because over the years Marotta has tended to make the majority of his signings in Serie A, and we also don't really go for flashy flair/fancy players (until now really with Dybala).

Have you seen the article written by that dickwad Carlo Garganese from Goal.com a few months ago? Saying Juve need to get rid of Marotta if they want to move to the next level :dielaugh:

Neto - free
Rugani - almost free
Khedira - free
Allan - 2 million loan deal
Dybala - 28 million, the only player we are actually paying with bih money

Inspector Gadget and his niece more likely. Gadget, despite $#@!ing everything up, getting all the praise while poor niece is trying very hard to cover her uncle's $#@!ty work and restore the damage he causes.
So with the players Beppe has signed we win 4 straight scudetti, we win our first COppa in 20 years, and playing in our first CL final since 2003, we're increasing our revenue every year, we're staying within FFP constraints, we're improving our starting XI every single year, and you still call Beppe incompetent...

You're either a troll well past the level of Cronios, or you're the most retarded person on planet earth?

Your choice...

It`s not about beppe incompetent. The point is that it is Paratici who chooses players. Marotta is basicly doing papers, trying to bring them. And Paratici`s thread has only 22 pages, while Marotta`s 12432515312. That`s why I think Fabio is underrated here. Beppe takes all the glory.

Beppe being the decisionmaker, though, counts for a lot. Paratici's job is to scout and suggest players all year long. From a long-ass list of players, the Great Man makes a decision - also after having spoken to the coach - about whom to approach.

It's not like Beppe just gives the OK stamp on absolutely everything Paratici does. There would be no need for Beppe then, you could just go with Paratici.

That said, Paratici is doing an excellent job. I'm happy to see fans who are able to recognize that.

No, somebody have to contact with players agents, clubs etc. to make the deal. Paratici scouts and recomends players, Beppe is doing rest.
Yes, those are their formal areas of responsibility. I do not disagree with that.

But you're making it sound like Beppe isn't a "football man". That all he does is negotiate contracts and finalize deals.

It's clear that a transfer strategy at Juventus starts with a conversation between GM Marotta, Paratici, Nedved and the coach.

As soon as a strategy is formed, it's the GM's responsibility to sign the appropriate players.

With the strategy in mind, the GM gives scouting instructions to Paratici, who then - more concretely - goes about finding the actual players.

Paratici is simply excellent at this. Take nothing away from his glorious work.

But he has to report back to Marotta in absolutely everything he does. Because Beppe is his boss, and because Beppe constantly has to evaluate if a player fits the strategy that has been decided upon and more importantly; if he fits our wagebill.

Therefore, Beppe has a continuous say in who we're after. At all times.

Paratici is amazing at finding players, but after he has done so, Beppe makes his own sporting and economical evaluations before entering negotiations.

It is therefore not wrong to praise The Great Man for signing the likes of Pirlo, Pogba, Barzagli etc.

But by all means, praise Paratici too. He deserves alot of praise, that's for damn sure.

How do you think the three of Andrea, Paratrici and Marotta compare to the infamous trio?
There are similarities, because... both the old triade, and the current regime, made Juventus successful again after some truly mediocre seasons.

The triade were more rapid. Moggi came to the club in 1994, and by 1996 we had already lifted the Champions League. A remarkable achievement. And after that we stabilized ourselves as a top european club, reaching many CL finals. Domestically, we were also successful under them.

Beppe & co. were also rapid, but only domestically. It's taken them much more time to do well in Europe.

However, one must take into consideration that Serie-A was stronger back in the days and much more attractive for top players. Beppe & co. have therefore had the more difficult task, in my opinion. Also, they've had to deal with the fact that our brand got tarnished due to Calciopoli and relegation. They've had more obstacles than the triade.

4 scudetti, silver star, and a CL final in this current climate for Serie-A clubs, is absolutely amazing.

Agnelli, Beppe and Paratici were the best thing that could've happened to us.

But before I would deem Agnelli, Beppe and Paratici better than the triade, we'd have to win the Champions League.

Even if we don't, though... They're not far off. And just ponder that for a second. They're not far off. It speaks volumes to the amazing work that's been done at the club for the past 5 years.
