14-15 transfer season was a fucking genious thing. Absolutely amazing.
Evra - 1M - transfer rate: A - looked old and washed up at the beginning. Waste of money on high salaries. And in the 2nd part of the season the guy becomes a beast, one of the best players at CL. Very successful bet.
Pereyra - 2M loan + 14M - transfer rate: A - initially overpriced, Marotta overpaid for spreading the payment in 4 or 5 years - he bet on talent, and bang. 50 games played. He had irregular performances, but brillant moments. Young player, perfect squad player. Great at CM, was very important as an AM at CL. Great buy. He's already worth at least 20M.
Romulo - 1M loan - transfer rate: D - cheap loan, he could have been useful. Injuries didn't let him.
Coman - free - transfer rate: A - one of the most promising young forwards in the world. For free. Provides pace and width. Great coup.
Morata - 20 + 2M - transfer rate: A+ - the transfer that determined this seasons's success, in view of Llorente's horrible form. This kid is a world class potential and already one of the best forwards of the world. Gives pace, agility and aggression, so much needed before. Scored to get Juve to CL final. Clutch and talented. What a fucking master stroke.
Matri - loan - transfer rate: A - cheap player, Milan trolled, most important player on Coppa Italia, which was won after 20 years.
Sturaro - around 6/8M - transfer rate: A - what a gem. Flew under the radar, immediate impact. Great personality, athleticism and good skills. May become an important player for Juve and Italy.
Marotta hit the jackpot with Morata, and made great deals bringing Evra, Pereyra and Sturaro. Great potential with Coman. Injected youth, pace, aggressiveness, athleticism to a team that was lacking it.
His best offseason work so far. This time, no mistakes made (Romulo's failure isn't really relevant - low investment).
Every offseason he made a few amazing coups (1st season: Pirlo, Vidal, Litch), (2nd season: Pogba, Asamoah), 3rd season (Tevez, Llorente), 4th season (Morata, Pereyra).
But he also had blunders. This time, no blunder, only successful bets. That's very rare in football.
Actually, this thread should be named Paratici/Marotta. It seems like the observation of the players is made by Paratici and his crue, and he is as important as Marotta and Nedved to pick the players.
