Gabbiadini was a giveaway imo. Dude had scored 7 goals in 13 games for Samp by the time we sold him.
Matri/Vuci. He was dealing with Bunga and some arab oil club. He should have milked way more.
The Diego sale I was pretty grumpy about. The Brazilian did not turn into shit overnight, he was sold due to system unsuitability. Absolute no reason to throw away 10M
Peluso is a good deal I guess, but volume too small to truly benefit from it

we arent a selling club. we keep our best players and are selling the players we have no use for or are too old. its hard to have an impressive selling record when you arent selling your best players. he could sell Pogba for 100M, Vidal last summer for 50M+, Licht for 20M in 2013, Marchisio for 30M etc. would you then call him an great seller? for players very few teams want, you cant expect to gain impressive numbers in sales. I noticed on this forum there is like one trendy opinion around at each topic and everybody to think differently is going to be trashed and trolled away. Obviouly Cronios has a history of "debatable" opinions but here he has a point. I trust Beppe a great deal when it comes to signings but you can't deny he failed to perform one good sale so far.

Lets try to explain.

We all produce stool on a (hopefully) daily basis. For the previous 6 houres it has served us well. starting as food, becomming a source of nutrients, ending up as crap.
When you are unwanted, people can demand you to pay more for the food. Cause the food improves your body.
The food served its purpose feeding your body

However, when you are done with it, all thats left is just crap.


Now i'm asking you, can you take a kilogram of pure human made crap, and sell it to anyone ? If they had to pay a fee for actually having it around beeing crap ?



Same thing with Marotta. He can sell some usefull nutrients. But how can you expect him to sell crap that no one wants ?

The only sale you can question imo is Gabbiadini, and even there it's 5 million at most we are talking about. That's in no way evidence enough for Marotta "being unable to sell players". The Matri & Vucinic deals were pretty genius actually, and the decision to sell Diego was probably not Marotta's, and the fee was fine.

I'm not saying he is a bad seller because he doesn't sell enough players off the club.
I'm saying he is a bad seller because he doesn't enough for the players the club had decided to sell.
I understand that top clubs can't be selling clubs but I want to see our trash sold for more money into the EPL

They got a 22yo for 25M, he played 65matches, scored 14 goals and 3 assists, they sold him for 30M. I'm just saying that we would have sold him for ~15-18 after such a run.
Let's talk Llorente. I dare say a great seller would make 12M+ out of him.

You're being unrealistic Igor.Its hard to ship deadwood who are ageing and have little resale value,especially the ones on good wages.
That is why i say its pretty important to buy players who represent a decent resale value.

Schurrle for example was not a flop when Chelsea sold him.He just happened to be surplus to requirements much like Higuain at Madrid for example.

If you look back at all the players that flopped here, none of them ever made a recovery in their careers.
None of the players that we have considered to be deadwood went on to have a great time after they left us. Krasic became a terrible player. Isla became a terrible player. Amauri still is a terrible player. Motta still terrible. Martinez is probably dead. Diego had ups and downs but never became a top player. Elia is still shit.

The only player that we got nothing out of and has been delivering great performances is sarah silverman tiago. We made good money off of Matri and maybe we could have gotten a similar amount out of Giovinco had the contract situation been different. But overall I dont think you can fault Marotta or Conte for not getting the most out of their players.

They milked Matri for performances and for Money. They milked Giacherini for performances and for money. They milked peluso for performances and for money.
The players Conte failed to get to perform and Marotta failed to sell for any decent money continued to be failures. The players that had limited skill but were hardworkers were made to perform and were sold for decent amounts.

If Allegri can recover Llorente we should be able to make some money out of him just nothing substantial.

In this forum, year after year, in each and almost every transfer window MArotta fails to sell our players and either releases them for free and keep on the bench collecting millions from Juve's tight salary cap plan,
or at best sell at 20-40% of ammount we gave to buy them.
This stands as his greatest weakness, we know that selling is his weakest point (esp after finding that LB) each and every year we discuss for months months as the transfer window goes by and we fail yet again to sell enough deadwood for decent income.
Countless of escuses were made, by his supporters and despite the fact that 90% cant stand anymore as we are keep winning the champion and our players are proved champions, wishfull thinking goes on and on and opportunity targets erase the huge holes made on our financial by Marotta's inability to sell.
And here come again articles with MArotta claiming we cannot keep anyone against his will, reffering to Pogba and Tevez.
PArticularly in Tevez's case the player has only one year left in his contract, which gives him special options to buy out the remaining time and leaves if he show pleases.

Considering MArotta's past and recent rumours, it seems that its entirely on Tevez shoulder;s to decide and he should take full credit for it and no Marotta.

Thats why i posted this:
