Marotta spent 100M in the mercato before that. That's why he had to hold up from then on.

Juventus probably has a top 10 budget in the world. Similar to clubs like Dortmund and Atletico.

As I said, Marotta has much more money to work with, including salaries. Sabatini does what he has to do at a smaller club like Roma. Marotta has a lot of room to miss. He makes many mistakes and hits the jackpot sometimes. He's doing good. Sabatini is doing great.

He's good, and doing a fine job for them, but thank fuck we have the Great Man™ - who is superior - instead.

I'd rather be winning than just doing good.

Beppe Marotta, my lord, my king
Roma are in complete collapse and people are still praising Sabatini

This is on the same level as Cronio's nationalism theory for Juve only wanting average italians and overtly fancying italian CMs

its the other way around actually. Sabatini does good for the money he has. he created the 2nd best team in Italy but for how long can he do it since Roma is selling their best players every summer. players like Ibarbo certainly wont help them keep their status. Sabatini misses more often than Marotta who had only 2-3 terrible transfers (Martinez, Isla... there is probably one more i cant think of right now). at the beginning Marotta had to spend big on many players because the previous management left a mess. now that he sort things out he keeps strengthening the team every transfer window while ending mercatos in + (or minimum overall spending). and Marotta got Sampdoria into a CL spot back in 2010 or 2009 i think. more impressive than anything Sabbatini has ever done

What the peasant filth often forgets, is what marotta was instructed to do when he got here.

Peasant filth goes like : he sold the good players, and bought a load of crap, also my anus is full of sabatini's cock.

What actually happened, is that Marotta came here, in a very old team, with very high wages, that were not worth their wages including camo, trez and del piero (you can suck my dick, its true), that was horribly heading towards financial issues. He was instructed to significantly trim the wagebill, and build a base for "the project.

So Marotta got rid of all the older players who were earning far more then they were worth. He got a nice base of average players on silly low wages. He gave Del Neri enough to work with.
Meanwhile, we had alot of shit on secco wages. Wich kinda means they'll refuse to be sold cause they'd get a fraction of their wages. And italians have sadly shown to be quite pleased to get money and dont play but eat pasta.

What happened ? Juventus had a good start and went to second place, challenging first. Then Krasic decided his head was actually dolan. Then Quag, the MVP, tore his dick off and was injured for a million years, Amauri forgot clapping doesnt equal goals, and iaquinta had a stroke wich caused him to forget how to use his feet. Oh and DP was too old.

result : we were without strikers, but still second. Marotta was forced to go on the market and get some players like Barzagli and Matri and Toni. But Del Neri showed his limitations as a pedophile coach, and fucked it up.

Season afterwards, Conte showed how coaching is done, and made nearly every Marotta signing apart from Martinez play to their level.

result(2) : thanks to the drastical measures, we didnt become milan, and we laid the foundation for what our team is today.

Haters can first accept they are peasant filth.
Then they can try to remove the Sabatini penis from their anus, with care for its barb hooks.

Then, they can realise not a single manager has been able to fix such a financial mess, and build such an overpowering team on that, without having to sell a single player to balance the books.

So people would rather have a situation where there is a revolving door policy of players coming in and out, cow towing to an aging, over the hill, petulant player, a coach and administration that constantly whines and complains, and oh yes, no titles in the past 4 years.

Got it

Marotta the real reason to the current Juventus dominance. Along with the board, stadium and players.
For me , he is the best in Italy.

Sabatini will have to pay around 35m to Cagliari in the summer to keep Astori, Nainggolan and Ibarbo. One great player, two rather average ones. Nonetheless they pay to keep the status quo, they basically invest their whole budget to not get worse rather than to get better. We on the other hand will buy the two finest italian attacking talents in circulation for less, two talents other italian clubs never had any chance to get their hands on, both who have room to help us (especially Berardi).

Marotta might be to conservative for the FM community, but he is most likely going to be much longer on the top of the chain order in Italy than Sabatini, who is known to be the type of guy who gives up and throw the towel very easily if things don't go his way.
