I think that the credit is due Paratici (my gut feeling) while the quirks and mishaps is down to Marotta. He's a loser, that's it. I want him to succeed because he is under contract here. But, so far, he has survived because of Conte and Paratici. He needs to go after this year ones Allegri has brought shame on us. So that whoever takes over can build on his own and kick Allegri out.

I can imagine that Marotta has sent a dozen scouts to Siena, mainly to scout youth prospect and freebie D'Agostino

Right, we haven't. I'm talking about the pending transfer of Vidal, should it happen. I don't want to talk about whether selling Vidal make sense or not. I'm just saying that, should it happen, they knew that Conte wouldn't agree to this. So they won't be able pretend this move came as a surprise.
I'll complain about selling Vidal when it happens.

And even then there are other factors to consider. An important one being the what the player wants.

And what happened now that we are forced to sell core players?
I don't know whether or not something happened and neither do you. We'll just have to wait and see.

However, what we all know is that our financial situation just isn't that great. Remains to be seen if that has to lead to certain sacrifices being made.

We know nothing. Considering Bepe needs to ask permission for every transfer and keep Agnelli updated about every single detail during negotiations, even then we don't know if Agnelli is blocking deals or Bepe just doesn't achieve desirable results. To me it appears as if they want to continue the path of consolidation by not spending too much and now selling precious players. This doesn't really help us with our running expenses, but what the hell.

Our current record of every appealing and lucrative transfer breaking down indeed is ridiculous. From this perspective I can understand Conte. I wouldn't blame him if they didn't deliver promised players. Especially if they wanted to sell Vidal on top of this, so far, failed mercato. However, Conte has been with Juve again for three years now. He knows how it is running. So he better should have quit right after the season. Anyway, in my opinion the board should have seen this coming. The lack of quality arriving while selling core players. They cannot pretend being surprised now.
I'm interested to see what has changed in the last few days, as mgt made it rather clear and it is well known that +30m purchases at this point are impossible to make, without exposing ourselves to significant risk. The latest rumors regarding Morata and Iturbe were promising and it was the path that I was hoping we will choose this summer; adding talented youngsters, even paying little extra at the expense of some other more experienced targets, getting rid of few older players in the process, but both deals are likely to collapse now (Iturbe already has) because of his resignation. Ever since Conte's public outcry in May, things in our club looked little off and he really should have left back then, the least he could have done for the club he allegedly cares for. Whether it has something to do with Pogba or Vidal we will find out in the following weeks, but how ridiculous will he look if both stay and the reason for his impulsive decision were unreasonable demands that mgt were not willing to meet.

So :beppe: to get much more power in transfers now that Conte is gone,im sure he'll choose his own targets. Is that all he wanted ?
Yeah, marotta forced conte out, because he was fed up with Peluso, Osvaldo, Boriello, Giaccherini

Marotta prefers Pogba, Pirlo, Vidal, Lichtsteiner, Tevez, Llorente, Barzagli, Coman

Excellent analysis tbh
