Found something interesting off Reddit r/soccer subfourm concerning Juve's Finances for the upcoming transfer year and beyond. (inb4 reddit, yeah I know not the greatest place for serious discussions)

www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/1eek15/juventus_financial_situation_is_curious_to_say/

What it is basically saying is that Marotta has only about 30mill in the transfer kitty to spend( Not including sales) and to expect 2 blockbuster signings is going to be hard if sales for the deadweight in the squad don't come through. However, we do have enough to buy one major star player and 2 or 3 squad players.

It also mentions that Conte wants full control over the academy and wants them playing total football alla Barcelona.

And from a Finacal/banker point of view, Marotta is an very important member of the Juve as he, Conte and Agnelli have made great gains over the past 2 year with little risk. Things are looking very bright for Juve for this season and in the future.

I would give conte total control of the academy withotu thinking twice.

After all, it is there to serve the senior team...and if he can accomodate and try young players to be introduced later in the snior squad...or at least, have a small possibility if doing so, im all for it.

It will be easier for Conte to try youngsters if he can manage before hand where he want to see them playing in the primavera.

Diamanti is not a champion  Way to over-rate that sack of shit.

Higuain, and maybe JoJo are champions though; the same applies for Llorente :D
I didnt say i agreed with it. But I can see people use that reasoning

And diamanti is not a sack of shit.

No.i agree on that:)

Reddit is good actually... if its just for the opening post. The usual circlejerk upvoting by emonerds is disgusting

That transferkitty, i've been saying that for a while. Probably Higuain will come first, then marotta goes in for Diamanti. Next comes as much offloading as possible, and if that works, he'll be trying for jojo.

Full controll, i agree. An acedemy should play in the style of the senior team. HOWEVER, this only really works if the senior coach stays for at least 5 years to reap the benefits, or if the next coach continue's in his path.

Total football ? barcelona doesnt play freaking total football.

And i'll just quote it

"And from a Finacal/banker point of view, Marotta is an very important member of the Juve as he, Conte and Agnelli have made great gains over the past 2 year with little risk. Things are looking very bright for Juve for this season and in the future."

and again

and 3 more times

Its funny he clarified on his earlier statement. in the process he managed to wind up some naive tuz users.
4 champions
This Marotta guy is the ultimate double crosser I've ever seen, they hold a meeting and he says something (in accordance to Conte's demands) then the day after that he comes out "clarifies" what he's said yesterday (softening up his previous statement), then a coupla days later he comes out with the "complete clarification" of what he actually meant, which would be the complete opposite of his first statement, and there and then, he'd have Conte's demands on that certain meeting, totally and effectively nullified and we'll be back to his normal "we can't afford" policy.

IMO, Conte needs to come out and "clarify" his yesterday statement too, :D.

Did he really mention something in that Il Secolo XIX interview about wanting to add 4 Champions to the current squad during this window? Or am I just getting trolled by the publication that shall not be named, Canada edition :D

Juventus director general Beppe Marotta has ruled out the possibility of the club re-signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer, as well as rubbishing reports that Antonio Conte could quit as coach.

The Bianconeri have been heavily linked with the Paris Saint-Germain forward in recent months, with the Sweden international reportedly keen on a return to Italy, where he has also lined up for Inter and AC Milan.

However, Marotta explained that Juve president Andrea Agnelli will not fund a move for the 31-year-old attacker, telling Il Secolo XIX: "He was very clear, Ibra will not return."

Marotta also insisted that there is no tension between him and Bianconeri boss Conte, who has won back-to-back Serie A titles since arriving from Siena.

"We are in perfect harmony," he declared. "There really is no problem. Some people would have you believe that there are opposing views among us, but that is not the case. Conte will coach Juventus again next year - and even the president has said that."

Indeed, Marotta has claimed that Conte will be given up to four new players to work with this summer, but dismissed speculation that Juve has already agreed terms with Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic.

"He is a great player, but there are no talks with him," he explained. "Even if a player is being touted by the agent, that does not mean that there are any negotiations.

"We are working to have a more competitive team, like the one that has allowed us, thanks to Conte's extraordinary work, to get back to winning again. This season was a triumphant march [towards the title], but I would like to add four champions to the current squad."

Juventus plays its final game of the season on Sunday evening, against Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris.

That could be my fault, Sal.

Although apparently some also need to work on their reading comprehension around here.
