I was one of those who preferred a more proven manager instead of Conte, especially after Ferrara's fiasco.

Now in hindsight, I was obviously not even close to being right, but at that time, being skeptical was understandable.

Wanting Conte in that period supports my theory of them being ignorant or too emotional. No one expected Conte to become the manager he is now. Probably he even managed to exceed his own expectations.
