How it ends, depends on Conte and the players, Marotta's job is done when the transfer window closes.

For ex, if gets us Messi and we fail to win anything, it wont mean that he didnt do a great job.
But if he fails again to bring us the finisher we need, he has failed, regardless if the Conte's and player's efforts manage to compensate for Marotta's incompetence or not!

If you only rate him about how it ends, then after 2 seasons in #7, Marotta is worse than Secco, which obviously isnt the case!
Learn to rate ppl, for their work and not by irrelevant or random incidents.
