His name is Maximus Beppicimus Marotus, Commander of the Armies in the North, General of the Drughi Legions, loyal servant to the true president, Andrea Agnelli. Father of a murdered cause, husband to a murdered reputation. And he will have his revenge in this life or the next.
:agree:

He will lead Juventus to victory amongst the many arenas of Europe with his motley band of mediocre Italians. Oh hail Beppicimus! We bow down to you!

Once he's done conquering the known world, he will find it in his heart to accept the lost souls back into his warming embrace. Beppicimus the merciful! Beppicimus the merciful!

So, Nzoric, how has THE GREAT MAN inspired you lately?
Funny you should ask, Brother Aus. This morning I woke up to the terrible news that my entire family and all my friends had perished by way of spontaneous combustion. I went out to the bathroom to kill my self. As I stared blankly into the mirror, razor ready to walk down the road, Requiem playing in my head, I had a sudden epiphany. I thought to my self: If The Great Man was able to turn a team which finished consecutively 7th in the Serie A, a team with no prospect or hope for the future, if he managed to turn that team around to a champions team undefeated in 49 games. Could it not be possible to keep on living, to face the world and find new friends? I then turned to The Society for a comforting embrace and through the words of The Great Man they inspired me to keep on living.

How about you, Brother Aus?

This brought a tear to my eye, Nikola. How one man can inspire such feelings in people. It truly is remarkable. The Society is the best thing that has ever happened to me, it brought me closer to like minded people such as yourself and we can share our stories of inspiration about The Great Man together on a regular basis. We truly are lucky and blessed to be able to do this, what with the amount of bile and hatred which is spewed forth from this very forum towards our dear leader. May they one day learn the error of their ways and fully embrace the ethos of our society.

Will have to build a wage structure and transfer strategy that allows the big money for a striker(s).
so...spend money....taht we don't have at the moment?

@anthony :tup: :agree:

That's the point

we have to adapt. we cannot just sit there and say we can't compete so we will adopt a transfer strategy that continues to follow a model that will not allow us to sustain competitiveness in any league.

Because if the price of strikers is being maxed out then what makes you think that mids and defenders won't follow?

And then what? We don't play in the market at all because we sit there and say we can compete in wages and transfer fees?

Again, scope comes into play. The man doesn't have scope.
again WHERE is this elaborate transfer fund to come from? yes it is not just strikers we are struggling for it is players in EVERY position that we are being priced out of

'We have to adapt'...what does that even mean? say something concrete.
i think he means throwing our whole transfer budget at ONE TOP PLAYER and hoping that he is so good he hides the deficiencies in the rest of ur squad.....and praying like hell he does not get injured

i believe it's called the "hail Mary"

we are unable to compete with the big teams for class strikers. that much as become apparent now. no changing that and people are delusional if they think this policy will change now.

Juve's only feasible option to scout onbscure players, or develop youth. Marotta and Conte seem to have figured this out hence why we seem to be spending so much on youth players.
i agree, there is no reason we can't start snapping up the top young players who are finding a first team slot hard to come by (a la Pogba) but the problem with this is with youth comes inconsistency.

We wont the league,no doubt. Super Coppa was a one match tournament played against another serie a team.

Sure we are in CL but barely, no one is blaming the results so far. We have a good team and a solid base, all this team needs to not get humiliated in europe OR possibly go all the way in CL is ONE quality striker. No one wants to win every single match, but what the point of tiring out players and play them in europe at all if you're happy with just being there?
Woody,i love you...but you honestly think that we are 1 top striker away from challenging for the CL? honestly?

And if we sign this top striker and he fails to deliver? Then what? Marotta's fault, strikers fault? Who gets the blame? Where to from here.
then we would have people on here flaming MArotta for blowing the budget on one player instead of strengthening the squad

"We won’t make huge changes to the squad and we won’t make big statements. It’s hard to sign top players, not only for Juve but for every team in Italy. In fact there’s been an exodus of the league’s best players, so we’re swimming against the tide and this should make us think."
quoted for truth!
Serie A is not one of the worlds top leagues anymore, hell it's not even in the top 3 in Europe anymore. attracting the top players is harder now than at any time in the last 25 years and that is without taking into account the poor attendances, lack of finances and general malaise that the whole league is going through.
