Beppe Marotta Is My God

A- The sporting performance =/= managerial performance
B- PPl should give credit where is due and not generalise that all is well/bad
C- The transfer director will get credit when he gets HIS job done properly and not when somebody else compensates for his incompetence.
D- We will never reach our full potential as long as we tolerate such weaklings...

Maggio is crap, at least in my books, i ve always considered him crap, overrated crap, because of his nationality.
Are you saying that Marotta has bought Asamoah as a LWB???

Falcao, Asamoah, Cavani name it as you want, ever since we have dismissed Treze, we are looking for a finisher, secco has made his Amauri's and Marotta has learned nothing from it, serie A and Italy is full of SSs, as Marotta is keep failing to find a proper finisher, he keeps buying opportunity targets like Vucinic and Quaq, who are good as SSs, but not at goal scoring.

By not buying what we need, he sets a handicap for the coaches work.
Most of the coaches cant overcome it and thus we ranked 7th twice in a row.
But Conte does, however it doesnt mean that Marotta did he job, just that Conte managed to overcome the handicap other couldnt.
Marotta is keep failing to get what we need, if Conte has the quality to win the league with the Bendtners and Borriellos Marotta lands, as he fails to land the Cavanis and RVPs, he should take the credit, not the one bringing the Borriello's...

We have seen what Marotta's acquisitions are without someone like Conte to cover up for his inneficiences.

Nothing have changed, Marotta is keep failing to the basic tasks put ahead of him.
He still fails to create an income from players like Melo, still fails to find the finisher and LB/LWB we have been looking for almost a decade, still sells off our players, still overpays, still getting owned in deal like the one we did with Giovinco.
Our player, who noone forced us to sell his half, has become one of the leagues highest transfer, in order to get his half back.

All of this happens because every tiny club can own our transfer director, an incompetent fellow who keeps failing to do his job and keeps setting handicaps on Conte's work and some of us praise him more than Conte himself...disgracefull...

Maggio is garbage yes. But if his name was Magginho, or Maggiopolous you'd be fapping your hairy greek willy like crazy.

Anyway, keep trolling. It's mildly entertaining.

With the money we have commited on them, we could have bought a Cavani/Falcao.
And the best impact they had, was to be used out of position, because Secco and Marotta are looking for a LB/LWB for 10 years and cant find one...
I think we should have gotten Messi or Ronaldo rather than Cavani/Falcao.

You know what I'm saying though, Druski. I was really hard on the guy too, for a long time, because IMO he fucked up repeatedly early on. And any points about his budget relative to other directors, etc., are totally fair; the man has had plenty of resources at his disposal.

I just don't see the point in continually getting after him when we've basically lost one competitive match in over a year.

Beppe really does need to shut his yap about all this 'top player talk', though. So repetitive, it's nauseating.

But take faith, brother. The draw against Shak was disheartening (especially with the circumstances in the stadium, that crowd was embarrassing), but I think we all know that a draw at Stamford Bridge against the titleholders, in our first match back in CL, after going down 2-0 due to unfortunate circumstances... well, that was FAR from a bad result.

We're getting through the group stage, buddy. You gots to believe (or else Marotta Claus is never going to slide down your chimney).
I have no choice but to believe.

I just don't want the club to end up with another "lump of coal" this winter ;)

Dru, we need to get laid. Together.
Indeed. Let's make this happen pronto while the gettin's good

i still think lazio and fiorentina did a better job than us this mercato
Lazio don't have any new players in their starting XI this season, do they (unless you count Candreva)?

Ciani and Ederson are perfectly decent signings for a little depth, but it's hardly better than Juve's mercato.

Fiorentina did very well and you could easily make a case for them having had the best mercato in Serie A.

Top players? Naw man, it doesn't get any better than this. I mean he is doing the best he can with what he has. He's got the payroll under control and has constructed a team that is nearing a record unbeaten streak. What more do you want from the guy? Asking more of him is just nonsensical criticism and blatant ignorance and bashing.

Convenient to give him credit when we succeed but untouchable and unaccountable when his failures are gleaming after drawing 3 straight in Europe, not signing a capable striker during the summer and acquiring solidarity at the back. Yet The Society can say what they want in defense of their beloved demi god as they guzzle his sacred love juices which he blesses as the ambrosia which he himself ferments in his dickpants.

This guy has built a team to win in Italy alone. That scope alone coupled with his small-club mentality and inability to make moves that a big club requires will leave us in an abyss of perpetual mediocrity.

We have actually drawn 9 straight in Europe :D

Quite the record. Other teams would have a near impossible time matching that even if they tried.

No.

But the least Beppe could do is use some of the money he saves to buy knee pads for all of his devotees. Lucky for him that swallowing is a basic requirement to join The Society otherwise it might get to be a little too pricey.
You have been reported to the higher authorities.

Expect to be dragged out of bed late at night for questioning.

That's a backwards way of saying 'yes', isn't it?

We all knew not signing a good striker would hurt us in the CL, there shouldn't be any new round of criticising Marotta because we drew for the 3rd time in Europe...

Yea it's too fickle. But we need to realise that a lot of people look at his abilities on the Market with Rose tinted glasses, but the truth is, if this club wants to compete for the honours we all assume it doesm then I dunno if he's the right man with the right mentality. His 35 years of experience hurts us more than helps us coz it's all a provincial mentality. Our winning streak is blinding us to an obvious reality that will be exposed sooner rather than later and we are gonna have to come to grips with it. The absence of world class talent is going to hold us from playing with the big boys the way we aspire to.
