So why sign "any" random attacker out there ? Or to be more precise (whoever is available and his club doesn't want him) !

That pile of average players we keep getting (for absolutely no reason) every year is getting bigger and bigger.

It's simple, IF YOU DON'T FIND ANY QUALITY PLAYER TO ADD THEN DON'T SIGN ANYONE.

But you know what, Marotta will keep signing those average players every year. This trend won't stop.

You're wrong, he did just the opposite. Bendtner was brought on loan, meaning that we have no obligation of keeping him next year. And if we want to we can get him for 5 mil € which is a great price for a young forward, so we can keep him as backup.

Getting bendtner absolutely does not prevent us getting a top striker, lie getting a decent one for 15-20 million would. From that perspective it is a good piece of business. Maybe we coukld have gotn someone better but only on a permanent deal, so getting bendtner on a loan was better.

I honestly wonder though, what do you people ask from Marotta if there is nobody to sign? How is he going to sign Llorente or Aguero when he can't afford them? And don't tell me to pay more because Marotta isn't in charge of the budget and he's not paying out off his pocket. I mean, you guys don't think he could have signed Llorente or Aguero if John Elkann handed him 50 million to do so? Its not like Marotta gets to keep the money we don't spend on a top striker in his pocket.

Getting Bendtner on a free loan is much better than buying noone. Even if it doesnt increase the individual quality of the striking department, it offers another option we can use when the other ones are not working. He was brought as a backup.

I imagine that currently Vučinić is seen as our first striker, Giovinco secondd, Matri third, Bendtner 4th and Quag 5th.

If his idea was to get Llorente for free next year and hence only getting a stop gap player for a year in Bendtner, it might be a bit tricky because Barcelona are planning to make Llorente an offer in January (according to barcastuff on twitter).

Quagliarella is better than Bendtner. I should hope Bendtner is only playing Coppa Italia matches as a time-wasting sub.

Should have signed him now. 5-7 million or something like that and take a risk on him. Dude is still young and will get back. Perfect opportunity now with him being injured and Villareal in 2nd division. We still had money over from the striker we never signed.

it isn't about whether they have the money or not, they simply will not spend that kind of insane money for a player anyway.

his idea was to sign him now, made an initial and then an improved offer which the Bilbao president did not accept.

Apart from the Martinez rubbish, he's done ok. Played a big part in Scudetto last season by getting Pirlo,Vidal, Barzagli. Unless anyone actually thinks that crazy 4-2-4 **** that Conte was gonna pull with Krasic and Giacerrini would work out.

Anyway, only Dzeko/Cavani was truly wanted for CF and neither had intent to move.
