How can you deduce that from what Marotta *supposedly* said?

Isn't the whole point of us spending lavishly ONCE we make the CL again? I'm pretty sure we will splash the cash on some world class targets if we do get there next season.

I don't trust Marotta; simple as that. I'm not deducing anything, merely stating my opinion. I feel that the squad is competitive enough for a weak Serie A, with the added advantage of no midweek games which will drain our rivals. However, the CL is an entirely different matter, once and if we get there.

lets worry about building a CL team when we actually get there.

See the thing is that if Marotta had not been so wasteful in previous transfer periods there would be more room for investment in the future. His blunders like the purchase of Martinez aren't something that you just turn a blind eye to because mistakes can profoundly impact the quality of the squad not just in the short term but the long term as well. It doesn't matter if he does well in certain areas. This "oh well he bought Pirlo, Licht etc. so its okay" argument is a big cop out. If a GM makes costly mistakes its not acceptable. We can only hope that increased revenue from the new stadium will make up for these types of mistakes and we can still invest in quality later on.
Thats precisely the reason i was reffering to, when i was talking that their mistake, made Juve a smaller club.
We do not have unlimted funds, wasting them on 15-25mil CMs and SSs every year and then selling them away for peanuts, will create a huge financial hole in the long run.

This has been confirmed by the 100mil loss and the comments about minimizing future investments.
These mistakes did not only had a negative impact in our past, but also our future...

We should be far more wiser where to spend the remaining funds, i still believe it was more urgent to buy a LB and CB, than yet another SS and CM, history will prove me right once again.

At any case, its the boards fault, for wasting our limited resources like that, they have influenced the incompetent pawn, whom were chosen by them, to do their dirty little work.
So, they should not penalise Juve and its heritage for their mistakes, they have to pay for their mistakes and them alone!
Otherwise , just sell the club and begone with it...

So, ~90 million euro's later, how much better is this team really?

So far I like Vidal, Licht and Pirlo. The rest we could have spent differently.

I'm just disappointed that after all that money spent, the team is not even that much better. You'd expect a huge difference after spending almost 90 million on new players.

Top 3 or he gets the sack.

I still can't get over the fact that he didn't fix our LB issues.
He didn't fix our LB problems, our central defense, the wingers and to be honest, for the money he spent, you'd expect something more than Vucinic. I'm not saying he's bad or anything, but its 90 million fuckin' euros.

we need to move away from the 'Del Piero heir' dynamic.

there will never be anyone like him again, would make more sense to improve general areas of the team.

FW line is pretty good already.
