So I said 6 sorry I didn't know y and 5 were that different. I gave him a six because vidal, lichtensteiner,pirlo,Ziegler,vucinic and ellia were def improvements. Maybe not world class but with our standing and money its better than exepected

We spent 80 Million € on so many players where most of them were not as needed as a good left winger and midfielders. Only Lichtsteiner is a logical deal.

I agree that Vidal is an improvement on Melo (speculation yet to be proved on the field), I also agree that Elia is an upgrade on Pepe and Martinez (who isn't anyway?) and I will also take Pirlo as a something positive yet Pazienza almost cancels the positive in it. Yet we managed to ignore our biggest problem in defence, not only we ignored the CB but also sold the slight improvement we had in the left side.

Neither with our standard nor with our money something like that should have been allowed. No matter how I look at it, I cannot see how was that better than expected.

There are people who still think we are top contenders not only in Italy but in Europe. They think players still line up by the thousands praying to get the chance to sign with us.

I guess thats where we differ in opinions. The damage done to this club from the scandal will leave us reeling and rebuilding for the 4-5 more years. Back in 2006 I said it would take 10 years to return back to where we left off. To compound our situation, our management has no clue what its doing therefore we've cycled through 6 coaches in 5 years.

But I totally agree with all that which also does not mean Juventus is not a big club anymore. Even if the club is not winning, it still has the same big club status as before. We are not the only big club to go through a long crisis. You are just not used to it.

Good point about Serie A as a whole

But its all cyclical. Don't forget how meh the EPL was in the 90s. Italian football ran shit back then and into the early 2000s. Serie A will return to some of that glory but without Juve being what it was it won't be the same.

But the fact is that the luster on the club can only take you so far these days. Poor management and the wrong mentality will leave this club in a deeper hole than it already is. The frustrating part about it all is that we are going about rebuilding entirely the wrong way. But thats just my opinion.

We were in the CL from 08-10, in the EL last season, since 2006 we have only missed out on Europe for 3 seasons, 2 of which Europe was impossible to reach. Liverpool were never in the CL until 2001. We are doing ok.

The real problem with Juventus' prestige today is that we made fk**ll impression in Europe for that supposedly great team. One or two CL titles in 2000's and every kid today would still consider us a giant of football.

Take out calciopoli and give us 2-3 scuds. So what. Without European success, you're nothing.
