The intend to sell him, no matter the cost was proved by the disastrous deal Marotta made, that deal proved that Melo was right all along and the decision to ditch he was already made, despite the fact that he was one of our best players in the past season, and that he has given his all for our jersey.
This is not the first time such a thing occurs, Diego, Giovinco and many other players were also ditched in the shame way and the collective loss of those sale outs, has a HUGE economic impact on our economy and our effort to build a competitive squad.

Marotta fails to offload Secco's mistakes Amauri and Iaq, ok but why not keep them as squad players and add yet another squad in Toni last year then? He has just added one more problem to the equation now, is this Secco's fault as well?
Why add Quaq, when he sees that he is not reliable enough to make the season and is still stacked with Seccos squad players and his squad player??
The decision to buy Vucinic automatically turn Quaq into our 4th forward sub, wtf, is he interested on a 5th now??
Seriously, thats totally insane and no matter how biased to eternal optimism one may be, the acquisition of yet another forward and a failure to buy a LW/CB starter, should verify the incompetence and complete failure of this mercato.
Thats exactly what i said. Based on my exp, ii believe thats possible, because i believe that Marotta is that incompetent.
Just like i said before we buy Vidal, that if we buy him, it will be a tragic mistake with catastrophic consequences to our economy.
That was my opinion before it happened, as it did happened, i will not change my mind now, because you or any other delusional fan will call me negative.
My opinion on the Vucinic acquisition before we bought him, was that it would be a tragic mistake, that will undermine our chances to buy a competent winger starter like Vargas and so far it seems that i was spot on, our limited resources were wasted, our inability to sell confirmed and the end result is that we will end up with someone like Perotti, or even worse and suffer again from the very same issues we have been suffering since Neddy's retirement and for the same stupid reason again (to add yet another dribbler SS, to appease the fans and ignite their hopes)
My opinion on Quaq since his injury is that he is unreliable and we should rather buy a new starter and scrap him, because we already have too many squad players for the SS position (DP, Iaq, Amauri) we bought him too.
We commit one mistake behind the other and you ignore them all because you just prefer to see the good part, of a new and more promising arrival.
You easily forget that the same arguments were again used when Amauri was brought and he was fresh and promising.
Again i asked for a better LB, LW and CB instead, again the priorities were overlooked, again the mediocre unproven player failed to become world class, again our investment was wasted, again our sacrifices on the defense and left wing came back to haunt all this long and again we overlook them and commit the same mistakes for some fools hopes...
