How can you even compare someone to Moratti. The parasites that live on flies than live on pig shit hold greater morals than Moratti.
What calciopoli did to us, isn't as bad as what is happening with the power in the wrong hands. This guy is single handedly reducing the club to rubble, with a misplaced sense of purpose and a false sense of security. Andrea Agnelli is giving him a free run with decisions that more often than not are being made based on his past instead of ours. He only wants to work with Italians or people he has worked with in the past. This guy is not Scudetto winning material. Infact he isn't even EL spot winning material as we can all see. And you know what? Del Neri is going to be here next year, because this prankster won't let his pride take a hit and admit that he made a false start by hiring the wrong guy. His ego's not going to be on the line, even at the cost of this club. This club will not win the Scudetto for the next couple of years at least as a result of the decisions being made currently. No matter who we end up buying. Financial fair play or not, Giuseppe Marrotta is not the man to restore former glories. Far from it. He's just making it harder for the next guy after him. Why just Moratti? People often questioned Moggi's morals too. But hell, I'll take that in a heartbeat as things stand coz the bum buddies from Sampdoria are in the midst of converting the five year project into a two decade one.

Those two things actually go hand in hand. The club was only allowed to be raped because of our then ownership. Our current ownership is a direct cause.

If you step back and think again what happened with Farsopoli there isn't a comparable event in club football for over 20 years.

I'm going to create a special thread for the Marotta Apologist/Supporters

then we can all sit back and observe the hopeless defending and justification of the man's workings

I wouldn't create a distinction between our owners then and now. To me, they're still the same. Only fronted by different people. Also what is alarming is, farsopoli wasn't something we could control. But now, when we can shape our destiny, we're choosing to destroy it with each passing day. That's what's getting me more than anything else. It's pathetic.

Yea, and I'm guessing Gigi can sense the direction things are headed in with this guy at the helm. It's not worth his while to give this team anymore than he has, when his efforts are not appreciated. Unfortunately, Marrotta has not dealt with any legends I'm his time, so he doesn't know what it takes to treat them right. And shame on Agnelli for allowing such situations to develop. I don't care what the new model is. You have to honour your legends with respect.

I'm glad you have such first hand information on the inner thoughts of Gigi Buffon.

I can't understand what is going on with these rumors? This statement of Marotta, denying the speculation, just gives it substance. He isn't a very bright chap. Hopefully he will be gone rather soon. I want people that can make us dream. People that have the balls to bring a player against all odds and make him a superstar. With Morotta it is just guessing how bad it will be. Even when he has done 'well', it's just he hasn't done usually bad. Statements, results, market moves... What were the pros? Ahhh yeah he was cutting the age of the squad and the average salary...:tuttosport:

I'm sure you are, Gladstone. But do you really think Buffon is glad to cut his wages in half to play with Motta, Traore, Barzagli and another upstart 34 year old keeper who thinks the world is his oyster? We don't need to go to the depths of his soul to figure that one out now, do we. :)

Marotta: "To build a soild team, patience and time are needed unless there is an Abramovich to call upon"

- There you have it, one more year with mediocre signings and DN in charge.

How do you know that this year wasn't the "patience year"? I think they are prepared to take bigger risks this summer.
After the game yesterday:

We will make signings of quality this year instead of quantity.
