What's conflicting?

Del Neri and Agnelli are basically saying the same thing.
Marotta's just being too vague. Not making important investments could mean anything from not paying 1 M to 100 M. An important investment is something that is subjective, meaning he's not really saying anything at all.

7th defense in Serie A is good? Maybe, by Brescia's standards.


The fullback position is one of the most important positions in the team because not only can a fullback's mistake cost us the game, but also a bad fullback will destroy our attack.

I remember when Motta started for us last time. His positioning was so bad that Krasic was back defending. That takes a lot out of the team. Attackers have the advantage of not having to cost their teammates extra effort in covering etc..

We have players that could get the job done. Iaquinta, with good delivery is fine. Quag is great for us too. Again, we need an attacker but not as much as need a fullback IMO.

Juve director impressed by Krasic

Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta claims that he is impressed with how quickly Serbian winger Milos Krasic has settled in Turin.

Krasic joined the Bianconeri for around 15 million euros in the summer from Russian side CSKA Moscow and he has been tipped to fill the boots of former Juve legend Pavel Nedved.

"It wasn't easy [signing Krasic], that's for sure,'' Marotta told the bobsoccer website.''Talks with his former club were difficult. But the major factor in the deal was that Milos wanted to play at Juventus.

"I certainly don't doubt the quality of Krasic, otherwise myself and Marco Naletilic [the player's agent], who led the negotiations on our behalf, wouldn't have fought so hard to make it happen. However, I confess I did not expect that Milos would adapt so quickly; both as a player and a person.''

However, Marotta was coy about signing other players from the Russian market.
