The statements Agnelli, Delneri and Marotta are making for our future signings are conflicting.
Delneri: asked for reinforcement
Agnelli: signing a champion in January
Marotta: we will not make important investments.

?
What's conflicting?

Del Neri and Agnelli are basically saying the same thing.
Marotta's just being too vague. Not making important investments could mean anything from not paying 1 M to 100 M. An important investment is something that is subjective, meaning he's not really saying anything at all.

Politicians usually do this.

Unfair comparison. It is: De Ceglie-Chiellini-Bonucci-Motta

I think the reinforcing the defence is more important, though.
Huh? Why are you including CB's?

You forgot DC.

And yes, first is worse.

Just think about recent matches: we almost all time attack but can't score. It's the problem.
Yeah, that's why we have the best attack in Serie A and one of the worst defenses.

Obviously, we need a striker but for me, our fullback department is much weaker even if you throw in De Ceglie.

Out of all the big teams in Serie A, we have the worst fullback combination by far.

Can't understand you'r idea.
And btw, we have 7th defence in serie A. And 3th in leading group of 6 teams.

The reason why we need striker is that fullback can't win a game, but striker can.
Yes, fullback can loose a game but with proper covering and teamplay even Grosso's errors are not so fatal.

7th defense in Serie A is good? Maybe, by Brescia's standards.

The fullback position is one of the most important positions in the team because not only can a fullback's mistake cost us the game, but also a bad fullback will destroy our attack.

I remember when Motta started for us last time. His positioning was so bad that Krasic was back defending. That takes a lot out of the team. Attackers have the advantage of not having to cost their teammates extra effort in covering etc..

We have players that could get the job done. Iaquinta, with good delivery is fine. Quag is great for us too. Again, we need an attacker but not as much as need a fullback IMO.

These past few games heavily reflected on our lack of a poacher or a striker that can convert chances - too much wasted could cost us 3 points. Having said that, I think reinforcement particularly in LB is a priority.

Juve director impressed by Krasic

Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta claims that he is impressed with how quickly Serbian winger Milos Krasic has settled in Turin.

Krasic joined the Bianconeri for around 15 million euros in the summer from Russian side CSKA Moscow and he has been tipped to fill the boots of former Juve legend Pavel Nedved.

"It wasn't easy [signing Krasic], that's for sure,'' Marotta told the bobsoccer website.''Talks with his former club were difficult. But the major factor in the deal was that Milos wanted to play at Juventus.

"I certainly don't doubt the quality of Krasic, otherwise myself and Marco Naletilic [the player's agent], who led the negotiations on our behalf, wouldn't have fought so hard to make it happen. However, I confess I did not expect that Milos would adapt so quickly; both as a player and a person.''

However, Marotta was coy about signing other players from the Russian market.

"You know my answer to that? Even if I had considered it, I wouldn't say. Let me just say the Russian market, as well as the Ukrainian, is always under supervision," he added.

Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta says the club won't be operating a quick-buy strategy in January's transfer market, but admitted good chances to bolster the squad may be taken.

He also laid to rest speculation surrounding the futures of Amauri, Gianluigi Buffon and captain Alessandro Del Piero, who is waiting for a new deal.

"For the market we will try to take advantage of the opportunities which come our way," Marotta told Tuttosport.

"But we will only do it to sign players who are stronger than what we have, and so it will be difficult.

"We had made some big investments in June, and so I cannot see any more.

"Buffon and Del Piero don't represent any issues. Those two and Amauri will be protagonists."

'Juve to follow Barca model'

Juventus plan to follow Barcelona's model of nurturing young players within a certain style, according to the club's general manager Beppe Marotta.

The Old Lady has implemented a number of structural changes since the summer when Gigi Del Neri moved to Turin along with Marotta in an effort to point the club in a different direction.

Interviewed on the Juventus Channel, he said: “We are focusing on young players. We have done it and we will continue to do it in the next few years.

“Our objective for the future is to create a Juve in the style of Barcelona.

“It takes instinct to find the most promising players and bring them to Vinovo, but also courage to given them a debut in the first team.

“This year a new cycle has opened. Twelve new signings arrived without counting the Primavera. We have renewed the team, notably lowering the average age.

“There will be no big signings in January. I can assure you of that. But we will be careful to exploit any opportunity that arrives. So we could move for a player who is in difficulty with his club who wants a transfer and the possibility to realise his potential elsewhere, hopefully here at Juventus.

“The objective would be a loan with a right to buy.”
