Weird to say the least, although back in the beginning of mercato I heard some guru said that Marotta didn't really want to seriously invest on a proper LB in this mercato, giving the budget (meaning they just wanted a versatile CB that can play in LB, and thus willing to trust PDC). But, things could dramatically change if PDC and this 4th CB-come-LB failed. They might splash the cash in the winter mercato.

Yeah, Benalouane seems fit the bill (CB/LB). Or it is a smokescreen for a certain Bocchetti? Lucchini also popped up.
