Agreed JUVE11, this mercato was alright until Diego was sold. I know hes not a natural second striker and wasnt scoring goals as much as we thought but wow you do not let a guy go for a little more then half what you bought him for a year ago and dont bring in a natural second striker with the same technical ability. I honestly think seling Diego is a disaster. Quag is not good enough hes not bad but hes just not Juve material. I swear they think that Juve cant compete for world class players anymore otherwise why havent we even tried to get them. Hes attempted to attract world class players with bull shit bids. Where did this 80 million transfer kitty go? We have a new stadium coming next year with a huge potential in revenue for the club, we have an agnelli running us again why havent we raised our level to Inters? because Juve are apparently only about hard work and the right mentality. Screw having world class players can we have work horses like Pepe who cant score a damn goal when hes right infornt of it. I am so disappointed. I will always bleed Bianco Nero but I am not happy with this team at all.

They way he talked it's gonna be a defender that can play as CB and LB and we're done in the mercato. :shocked2:

I think the Tunisian/French guy can do that so we'll have to let somebody go to pay that big million for him. :pumpkin:
So this means we won't sign Capdevilla? I thought the deal is imminent before..

I don't know what to expect from Marotta tbh. I really thought after the clubs worst season in history we would bring in some really exciting players and make some great investments. Too bad that didn't happen but if the goal is to reach the Champions League next season then I guess I'm alright with it. Hopefully next season, with the new stadium coming up and all I really hope we could go for some quality signings to raise the teams attractiveness. But then again, I was absolutely certain that this mercato would have been epic.

I've just resigned to the fact that writing a post about how shit Marotta is will not change shit. So I'm just going to say, best of luck cunt. Even though I would have built this club much differently I can only hope that you know what you're doing and that players like Martinez and Quag turn into stars on the Italian and European stage.

But whether we turn into the great club we once were or not, the message still remains - this club deserves better then to be run risk by risk.

lets face it with this limited budget he did bring in 8 new faces which is quit amazing. last season team had a lot of holes that needed to be fixed. and our main objective this season is the CL and thats it

I would be really happy if we have a season like our first one back from Serie B.

Champions League spot and not loosing to Inter, Milan or Roma while beating them all in the return games.

:agree: We should of made these kind of signings when we got promoted then we would be challenging for the Scudetto and signing world class players by now.

so the one-eyed wonder signs Quag- another overrated striker in Serie A who's claim to fame is the one or two 35 yard screamers he's had in a couple seasons....big fucking deal !!!

Getting rid of Diego is CRIMINAL, and to replace him with Quags is just plain PATHETIC !!!

Now, we are going to off-load Trez with just 2 healthy strikers for this weekends game (and probably the next few as well)...now if Diego's characteristics are too close to DP's, which is why they cant play together, then what does that say for a DP- Quag combo ??? Another fine mess, Mr MaROTa !!!

This whole deal about getting rid of Diego because he doesnt "fit" into Del Neri's system is laughable.....what happens come November when we sack Del Neri, what about his system then ???

IMO Juventus biggest fault was to appoint Del Neri in the first place, he is a mediocre coach and he's not gonna change that anytime soon.

He's not a rookie anymore, he's 60 years old. same age as Wenger, both Mourinho and Ancelotti are younger than him, let alone Guardiola. If by this point he hasn't achieved anything it's because he's not gonna do it (one wonder season with chievo and one with sampdoria are not really big achievements).

It's not complicated to come to the conclusion that when you appoint a mediocre coach you should expect a mediocre team. Yet people act surprised when you sell Diego and get Quagliarella, it was a predictable outcome.

He's just a mid table coach and nothing else.

Any and i really mean it, ANY half competent coach would've found a way to fit his best players into ONE system and not force HIS system down his players throats. Let alone sell them.

Go ahead, sue me for my opinion.

Really we didn't have any other option except for Benitez.

He's still a better manager than Del Neri though.
Most probably. Everyone seemed to be kicking up a fuss that he was complete rubbish. Looks like the management took the 'you're only as good as your last season' approach with the appointment of manager - Del Neri came from a good season by Sampdoria's standards and Benitez was just plain terrible recently at pool.

This is exactly what i had in mind..but vinman,it is like it is,and diegol is now gone..lets just hope we can at least reach our goal of a CL place, and then theres a good chance Juve could be spending on bigger players who really are above mediocre..
