it's always so easy to burn down everything
if you hand out 50 million to spend on transfers to revamp Juve you'll see numerous different line-ups and players on this forum
do we have to agree with everything Marotta has done so far
fuck no but let's just wait and see what the new-look Juve is capable of
as it stand I have a lot more fate in him then in Secco

You can appreciate someones good effots and their bad efforts. Its called having a balanced view. E.g - I appreciate Marotta's signing of Krasic and Aquilani while I'm pissed off that he signed Martinez and isn't prioritising in the right positions.

Get off the 'you're all just knee-jerk reacting' band wagon and think criticially.
 We know nothing about how good these signings are because they have done nothing, good and bad signings will pan out over a period of time, so I'd rather not sit and worry myself about guesswork.

No Nenna, you have to wait until after the window has closed to judge signings. Why? Because... uhhh, errr, you just do.
Because Martinez is looking like a real good prospect for the left wing position

For christ sakes, we're 90% into the mercato and anyone who feels the need to critisize Marotta on his obvious flaws gets crusified. Everyone needs to get off Marotta's dick and have a good look at his non-sense transfer policy. If Secco had an identical mercato with us there would be anarchy.

Yeah, there it is again, Nenna.

Pepe, Martinez, and Motta all played in the Mongolian A League for Ulan-Bator. I really doubt you have access to their matches, so you can't judge them!

Nananana boobooo!

It was the same story when Secco was here. The majority said that he shouldn't be judged until mercatos were over, claiming that he needed more time. Yeah well, how did that work out for ya?

Again, these folks just live on hope and cannot think critically, as you said.

We have seen most of these players in Serie A, so we can judge the signings AND Marotta.

Have you tapped Marotta's phone? Have you got under cover operatives walking the halls of Juventus FC? Obviously you're in no position to judge :andyandbarcelona:

Everyone's seemed to have forgotten what a good mercato looks like. Ones where you can actually appreciate the quality of your signings before they even walk the pitch because you know that they're quality players and not massive leaps of faith.

BULLSHIT.

The signings were his.
I think you misunderstood, I will judge Marotta's mercato for this window when it actually closes. As for signings, we can only judge them from what we have seen. Just look at last season to see what 'good signings' can turn out like. Next they are bad signings, then a good season and people will want Secco back as ds, the joys of football.

Like Diego and Felipe Melo? What about Amauri? If they cost more than €20m is that reason to get excited and applaud the ds?

Our signings weren't successful because we had an unexperienced coach like Ciro. Diego is obviously quality while Melo has been playing great for both Fiorentina and Brazil.

We'll see this season, but there are excuses and reasons for all players doing well or not.

To say that this team is going to need time to gel, is like saying that Bill Gates is rich.

The understatement of the century.

What happened to not throwing the baby out with the bath water this year?

Shit, they threw out the baby, the tub, the shampoo, hair dryer, and the baby's mom as well.

I wanted change, that's for sure, but wow. Half of the team is going to be new. Considering what happened last year, that might not be a bad thing.

Like the last one we supposedly had when we bought in Diego and Filipe Melo(LOL joke buy) when we already bought Poulsen the year before. "Top" players we didn't have any need for.

Or when we changed the formation and system the team had been successfully playing for the last 6+ years to accomodate said quality player that we could appreciate before he even played.

Tell you what, that's about all I appreciated of Diego last year. The time before he was playing because he brought jack all to this team last year. Couldn't even slot home penalties!

But hell, he's a quality player as logn as we can appreciate him when he's first signed and before he steps foot on a pitch then it's allllllll gooooooood.

Jokes.

This transfer campaign is being used to stop our downfall and steady the ship. Next year will be used to create a team that he wants. FFS, he's trying to sell players like Poulsen who make astronomical wages. He's severely handicapped in what he can do.

All he's trying to do THIS year is stop the bleeding of the club and get us back into top 4 so we can play CL. Once we've accomplished this I think we'll see him expand our team in a more ambitious way.

Just look at all the loan deals and such he is doing. Some of these players are very temporary solutions so we can steer the ship back on course.

On top of all this he had to deal with a fucking bullshit EU rule that came in right in the middle of our campaign.

The only potentially bad signing I see is Martinez. The rest, like Motta for 1M loan or whatever, is fine. It's not the end of the world there.

Yessir. Too bad most people don't realize this.

They expect the new guy to create the best team in Italy in one transfer window or he's failed.

Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was any successful football club.
