OK, I misspoke. They defended him no matter what he did, and continued to say "give him time."

Whether they are fans of Secco or not doesn't really matter. What matters is that they were wrong, the doubters were right.

When people are bitching all the time it is difficult as a fan, not to defend the person.

Look, I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong to criticize Marotta's moves.

Everyone is well within their opinion to do so.

But I ask you this.

How can we judge either way when the season hasn't even started yet?

And it really hasn't aside from the two matches with Shamrock.

We do not even know who will be coming in the next three weeks, and what the starting XI is even going to be at this point.

Everyone knew that there would be revolution of some point with this team, even if there were those that were saying there wasn't going to be.

But to fill all of these holes, with the limited budget given, is fairly unreasonable to expect, especially in the course of one season.

I guess I'm just more patient and optimistic than some people around here, but I don't resort to calling people "clowns" simply because I don't agree with them.

I mean, we weren't expecting miracles here in the first season, right, guys?

They are not all going to be world class. Juve is not Real Madrid. Some of these guys such as Pepe are going to be substitutes.

Others, such as martinez, could be valuable because he is versatile enough to play both the left and right side of the wing.

I just don't believe that they are done yet in the transfer market, I realy don't believe that for one minute.

I will say this, though. Marotta gets a shorter leash with me than Secco ever did.

I'll be very surprised if Juve don't sign Krasic in the next week or so, and the flanks will suddenly look a lot better.

This season, I think it will be good if Juve can make the squad a bit younger (which is happening) and at the same time get back into the CL.

Anything more than that would be a bonus.

It should be noted as well, that we haven't even purchased Pepe. We paid 2.5M and have an option to buy the player after the season for 7.5M. Our team needed a ton of wide players, and it was a low risk move... I don't really have a problem with it.

Martinez can also play as a forward. I've only seen the guy play a couple times, and he was up front (other than 1 useless outing with us, where he clearly wasn't match fit). I seriously doubt that spending 12M on him was a good move, but I can't ultimately comment on his quality - just not familiar enough with the player. He should be given time to reach match fitness, and integrate himself into a new team.

I would love to see Krasic, Tremoulinas, and maybe a Bochetti loan/co-own deal... it could be feasible with our current budget. We'll also need another CM if Poulsen does in fact head to 'Pool.

You just don't quite understand, Red. Obviously there is time for replacements to be brought in, but it's not set in stone. I just find it foolish to be selling a Poulsen along with shipping out Marrone and Ekdal without having a good replacement at this point. And of course, the replacement might not even be that good anyway.

Throw in the likes of Pepe and Martinez and I'm not impressed. You might be, and that's fine.

Of course not.

But none of Juve's moves have been brilliant or dreadful enough to be able to judge them without looking at the squad as a whole.

For instance, I don't see the sense in selling Poulsen.

However, I will reserve judgement until I see what fee Juve recieve, how Juve replace him and what else the money saved on wages will be used for.
