apparently marotta has 2 weeks to buy at least 1 player Conte has requested of risks losing his job
Very unlikely this is true. And top delicate a time for it to crop up. Can't see this happen, it's silly. You got to take this decision before the mercato. But yea, doesn't look like a good sign that Agnelli is part of negotiations in the big deals. Dunno though, I think it's bs.

Is that uncommon?

Galliani speaks to Silvio about the hollywood business Milan do.

Agnelli just happens to be friends with Perez.
Yea, although Agnelli wasn't making trips to Madrid last season when Beppe made a couple. There were some discussions with Madrid last (or last to last season) too iirc, which Beppe had put down to an exchange of ideas about their projects etc.

If those reports about Marotta giving 10 days for Tevez to decide are true then I believe this is true.
Highly unlikely. The Tevez situation in itself is a bit of a time bomb because of Milan's involvement and Pelligrini'a recent appointment.

I agree that that's a pretty shitty way to go about it. Juve needs to handle business properly, he's either capable or not. But maybe they were getting ready to fire him and Marotta convinced them to get a second chance?

Not entirely, no. But normally those deals are a lot bigger than the estimated 25m or so. Maybe Perez and Agnelli have a better relationship than Marrotta has been able to inculcate.
Zlatan €24m, Robinho €18m, Balotelli €20m, Ronaldinho €22m

Seems like Andrea has a good relationship though.

I don't see any obvious mistakes, but I haven't looked into it properly. Roughly what you were saying though, the headache would be sorting out the good vs the bad.

Weird way to show him the axe if true.

If anything... he should be judged at the end of the mercato. Not now for sure. A lot of things can happen.

But who knows what kind of meetings those have had. Maybe agnelli is not pleased with how marotta has operated? Maybe Is Elkann orders?. It could be anything.

And , how capable Nedved can be in this sort of position? He is a big question mark.

Maybe they will try to leave Marotta as CEO and free him from his sporting director duties? He is good with getting players in certain deals.

Anyways.... for someone who has achieved his fair deal of success and good transfers with us.... an ultimatum like this seems unlikely, even for Marotta and his screw ups.

As in, Berlusconi was involved in those negotiations? Also, there's a difference between saying Andrea has a better relationship with Perez than Marrotta, and Andrea has a better relationship with Perez than Galliani.

That's a whopping 38 players, 39 if you include Cevallos at 0m too. In 3 seasons. Bit too many for my liking. The obvious mistakes (like Martinez for 12m, Elia for 11m etc) is a separate discussion. This was a discussion about the overall quality of the squad vis a vis the money spent if you take away the so called clutch players like Vidal, Barzagli, Pirlo, Pogba etc, who he signed for under 12m. I just think that it was a lot of money we spent and it doesnt necessarily represent enough quality for that amount.

That report is BS, we aren't getting a new DS in the middle of summer. Anyway I would still keep him as CEO and give more powers to Paratici and Nedved.

inb4 Baldini/Sabatini names pop-up.

The difference with this mercato is that we got CL football funds... and in our last campaign it wa s plain obvious that our strikers underperformed again, but this time it costed us the CL.

If we let things as they are,,, we will do more or less the same advance this upcoming season, but will get ultimately kicked out in the same fashion. So, this time he has almost no excuse to improve the one and only department in our team that needs it the most.

If he fails to deliver this time...we will fail to go that step forward accordingly.

-First season goal was to qualify for CL. We not only did that but won the scudetto.
-Second season goal was to do a good CL campaign and win scudetto. We did both and had a more than acceptable CL run.

This upcoming season there is no ther objective left than to improve our CL last participation, but to do that we need a killer striker.

If he fails to deliver a single good striker, he should be questioned.
