I don't think it has to be one or the other, which is my point. He just got the other deals done first, being deals that also had direct competitors and were easier to finish. I think he would have known that other big clubs would want the same attackers, and could lose out on 2-3, but it's been left at or has reached the stage where even the 5th/6th deals didn't materialise.
Oh, I guess it's this years excuse. Seriously? It's not the first time he fails to buy a striker.

You're like Voltron. But you're not the defender of the Universe, but defender of Marotta. :p

wait wait wait, is becoming champions with juventus not a bigger achievement than the above mentioned clubs ?

even if marotta would have only worked for sampdoria you are laughing at him for under-achievement ? the italian league is arguable one of the best 5 leagues in the world and he participated in that professionaly. so tell me Mr Only-Juve ... what company do you work for ? is your company one of the best in the world ? you do not even work for a fortune 500 company and laugh at someone who is way more successful than you and earns more in one month than you in a whole year !

it's like the homeless people on the street that always know better how to handle everything from politics to economics, but are not even able to handle their own life. disgusting
Do you even know me

Do you even know what I do and how much I'm worth you clown.

I've never even read one of your long boring posts and I'd skipped them whenever I've seen that stupid nick name of yours up there.

And by the way, am a Real Estate Broker so maybe just maybe I know a thing or two about negotiating deals smartass.

It doesn't. It's disappointing that he's denying that's something the club wanted. In that interview he came up with the cliched response of saying the club has great faith in the current group of strikers of great value etc, I think it's a bit late to come up with that so close to the deadline when his intentions looked quite clear for over 3 months. He's lying to save face.

Even worse if he's settled for Bendtner here.

I'm just going though the process of the mercato, you can call it what you want. Excuse or reason are only different depending on what you want to hear.

In terms of getting Bendtner as the CF, if it materialises, there are no reasons for doing that.

Despite doing some horrible deals like 12M for Martinez, 15M Bonucci, 18M Matri, etc, Marotta did a lot of very good moves and completely rebuilt the squad in 2 years. He had money for it, but in the end he succeeded at it - we are younger and the best in Italy.

He did a good job at that. But honestly, he doesn't look like being the man who is going to make Juve relevant in Europe again. Lacks ambition, daring. Agnelli should think about that.

Indeed. You remember that interview when he said we'll get a top player. Not Aguero but somebody who's on that level? He must be rating our new signing highly.

He's actually pathetic. I was like "Ok, Trez left but a good striker will replace him" ... "Del Piero left, some good player will replace him". This guy can't buy a proper striker and what's even worse, I have no idea why we sold Trezeguet. And letting Del Piero go makes even less sense now.

over payed but not bad buys, hes got worse players then bonucci and matri
Martinez still remains his pièce de résistance.

He has made some brilliant signings there's no doubting it, but his credibility drops significantly when he's out signing average players like Elia, Bendtner and Padoin who aren't needed and are no improvements over the other players in their positions.

Also, no offence to Giacch, but did we really need him? He's a decent player but our midfield is so stacked already. Forgive me if there was a buyout clause incorporated in his loan agreement (but then who said you had to oblige the other team **cough Melo cough**)
