JUVENTUS, Marotta: "We will sign new players"

Interviewed by Mediaset, Juventus General Manager Giuseppe Marotta has declared: "We are still in a delicate periof of the transfer market, we must take advantage of the opportunities that we will have. At the moment all I can say is that we will do all our best to improve our quality and we will try to give coach Delneri the best players available. Diego moving to Germany? They are just rumours, there have been some interests for him as well as for other players, but we are attentively evaluating the situation. For the moment there is nothing concrete, we'll see later, trying to do the best for Juve".

Try to do what's best for Juve? It really isn't that difficult to understand that without Diego our team is useless.

What the media has written regarding the proposals could be just rumors indeed. But again, Marotta did not say he wasn't going to sell Diego. It's pretty clear he's keeping the door open for a bid in which he thinks is sensible, which is why he said the "best for Juve" bit.

He forgot to add either IMO or in my opinion.

Yep, the 16mln bid accepted is just a rumour, however there could be some offers anyway.

look:

"there have been some interests for him as well as for other players, but we are attentively evaluating the situation. For the moment there is nothing concrete, we'll see later"

Then what does he, or what do we, gain from not forthright declaring that Diego is not for sale?

That is the question you guys need to answer. The burden of proof is on you.
