We are. If we pay 10 million for his half (I doubt we will), that means he's valued at 20 million. In that case, we'd have paid a total of 7 million (subtracting the 3 million Parma already paid us) for a player worth 20 million. 14 million positive, bloom!
How about not giving an option in first place and getting him for free? We aren't in positive.

Parma made him the focal point of that team. You think they'd have done that if he were there on loan only? You can't deny that he's the player he is now, because of how he was integrated into that Parma team. If he was rotting on our bench, since he was not wanted by any of our coaches, including Conte, he'd be worth zilch. So no, we are in positive.

We are not. It was an unexplainably bad decision which cost us 10 million. Those shitty managers who couldn't use Giovinco were Marotta's doings as well. Guy was quaranteed success since 2007 but he lost 5 years of his career in loathsome teams and we got robbed of most promising player of his age.

Since you can't disagree with what i said, you are going for word games again. We can still lose him if get into an auction, especially if Parma financially backed by inter or someone else, it will bite Marotta's ass. If we buy him, we'll have to pay more than 10 million and it will bite his ass too. Whether he stay or go we aren't in positive.
I am not playing any word games, until the situation is resolved you will hear my opinion. Speculation has simply no meaning in drawing judgements.

He is just confirming what many of us thought of him from the start. He's a good director with a good eye for talent/players, he just needed the right circumstances to get us back on track again.
Lets not exaggerate though. We didn't know shit about how good he could have been. Except Cassano and Pazzini who were already known the rest of his Samp squad was cack.

Storari is still a boss

I think it's perfectly valid to still question him, although he's sorting that out by getting in some quality players. Lets see how he addresses CF.

I'm not talking about his time with Samp (in which he still built a team that made the CL qualifiers), I'm talking about his mercatos with us which have gradually gotten better with time. The guy built a team A LOT of people were doubting before the start of last season, to become undefeaated champions of Italy and Coppa Italia finalists. All this without the lure of European Football.

It's all about patience and faith in him. I trust this guy to get us the players we need and to help make us the force we were in Italian and European Football again.

Storari/Castellazzi, Gastaldello, Ziegler, Palombo, Cassano and Pazzini are all good for Sampdoria at that time.

It was a fluke and much of it had to do with the other teams sucking and Cassano and Pazzini playing out of their minds. Because look at those guys now, none of them have really succeeded. It was not exactly a reliable squad he built over there.

We took their coach and director general, and they lost Cassano and Pazzini both half way through the next season (Cassano only played 7 games), so what happened afterwards has no relevance to the reliability of a squad he built. They lost key staff and personnel and replaced them with crap (Di Carlo/Cavasin; Macheda, Maccarone & Biabiany), that's nothing to do with Marotta.

It's certain that other teams underachieved to allow Sampdoria into the CL, but we don't know if the good work was a fluke and never will, so it's pointless saying it. A club like Sampdoria has obvious limitations.

Which means we would have paid 7 million for a player who was 100% ours before all this! so we would be down 7 miliion. Turk is right, how are you not getting that?
