He's doing a great job, Poulsen wasn't very effective, he didnt change anything, you need a little more than playing safe to step up higher. If Del Neri is not convinced by Diego, then he should be sold too, Marotta is on the right path.

I noticed a lot of people here just complain, "Marotta this Marotta that", Do you want Secco back? Be thankful that this man is actually trying to build a team & not just shut us up by buying a big name player, like Secco did with Diego with no future plan.

And when Marotta buys Dzeko after selling Diego and bringing in mediocre players like Pepe and Martinez, along with not improving upon the LB position, will you say the same thing?

Thus far, these look exactly like Secco transfers.

In fairness, Marotta has been far more responsible from a fiscal standpoint than Secco ever was, as far as transfer fees and salaries. Everybody is worried right now, no doubt, but a lot of that worry is based on speculation... I'm definitely worried.

Also, at least if Pepe doesn't work out, we don't have to sign him at the end of the season. We certainly did need some depth on the wings, given the options at the end of last season. Hopefully Pepe doesn't log major minutes.

As for Martinez, he's a mystery to me. I don't know jack about the player, other than what I've read :D

I will criticize the speed that we've moved with on the transfer market though. With these early Europa commitments, we should at least have a proper defense in place by now.

I see Moggi starting to get frustrated with Marotta in Tuttomercato.com. "Juve don't need Dzeko with all the problems in defence and midfield. Del Neri don't have solo players or a team. Del Piero is the only one who can decide a game"

Use google translate and you can read the whole article. Every Friday he writes there.

He also said that Juve should get rid of Diego, what do you think of that?

i think moggi speaked about diego in a 4-4-2 system (if so, he was right)...he is by nature a cam and he gives his best in that position...an ss is a position in which you are deeper in the ground, battle for balls and the defensive pressure is higher.. all of us raised a question mark about diego when del neri came with his clasic 4-4-2, but still del neri said that diego can adapt and play, diego played like all preseason games and he did good..

nah, not at all. Moggi is just senile.. i just wrote my opinion that he is right about diego not be suited in a 4-4-2 system (especially here in italy), not that he is right about diego to leave.

Apparently Balotelli has a higher market value than Diego, one starts to question how much the Brazilian is rated around these parts.

Inter's board are just more intelligent than ours. Maicon is edging closer to 30, and some teams are still willing to put up close to 30 Million for him. Granted he is arguably the best RB in modern football, he is simply not getting any younger.

As for our BOD, they are just :sergio:

Balotelli will become world class player and double his worth.
No guarantee's at all that this will happen. Add the fact that Inter actually (do not want him anymore with all his problems). It's pretty amazing how they've managed to squeeze all that money from this deal.

This deal reminds me of last season's Ibra's deal. The hype played a huge part in this deals and Inter are benefiting "alot" from that. Can't believe Clubs are that stupid to fall into that....

I think that price matches Balotelli's potential.

Quite cheap for Man City as well, they usually go at least €10m over what a player should be worth. If Joleon fucking Lescott is worth about €20m.

Balotelli gave a nice interview after Italy's game and he said that it's much better working with them and Prandelly, who helps him and gives him advices. Most of the fight were caused by Inter fans. I'm pretty sure he'll not have problems in England and I expect him to shine.

It's not amazing, nobody is as talented and has as mature play as Balotelli.

Totally agree. Very nice signing by City... tons of potential, and he's familiar with/enjoys playing for the manager.
